this is getting ridiculous! just chinese whispers from various media sources, a lot of stuff will be eminating from this board. no one will be installed for a week or so i guess as people need to be interviewed if someone was lined up, he would have been installed already.
Salt into wound, Gordon. You wouldn't really do that to our club would you?? Actually, you probably would.
Scarborough.

RE: Salt into wound, Gordon. redfearn would be a SERIOUS mistake,he would go from hero to zero like hendrie,no experience at this level, cant believe it would be allowed to happen
Struggled at Halifax ... was a disaster at Scarborough .... .... how on earth can that make him a contender for the Barnsley job? Ok he was a great player for us, but using that rationale, it would make Spackman the favourite for the Chelsea job if Mourinho left!!!!!
Although I agree with you mate you need to consider... A few key points.
Last years Scarboroughs weekly wage budget was £6,000 per week for the entire playing staff and coaches. That playing staff included both 1st team and reserves.
Its hardly a large budget, and especially also taking into account the wages other clubs in that division pay in comparison. Also Scarborough were in administration which meant they had a transfer embargo put on them.
I'm not a Redfearn fan for the job I just think people need to realise that he was under a miriad of constraints.
This year Scarboroughs wage budget has been reduced to £2,000 per week. The club is turmoil and will probably shut down and start again under a different name.

Fair enough mate .... but that apart ...... ...there's no way he should be in the running for the Barnsley job. Very little managerial experience and what little he's had has been at Conference Clubs, like I said, it's the equivalent of Spackman getting the Chelsea job, total madness if it happens
Like I said... I'm not denying that but to use Redfearns experience at Scarborough is probably not the best evidence of his capabilities.
I'm of the school of thought that we need to get somebody with experience. So I agree with what you both btw.
I just don't agree with some of the stuff posted about Redders.
