Foster and Crainie have formed a decent partnership at the back and look calm and assured. When McNulty is involved we look nervous. Hill was stubborn and stood by McNulty and Wisemen no matter how badly they played, it did their confidence no good and poor results were inevitable.

So why did Flicker change a winning team... O'Grady was superb against Woles and Wisemen had a decent game. I thought it was harsh dropping both on them... and why o why did he bring back the weakest link McNulty. It is no surprise to me that we conceded so easily with him in the team. I only hope that Flicker drops him for the next home game and normal service will be resumed.

Steele is also in poor form, should we be looking at a loan keeper, or giving Alnwick another shot. IMHO Steele should have done better with all five goals conceded yesterday.

Saying all that, I feel our main transfer target should be a commanding central defender! Forget loaning a left back, Kennedy could fill that void... Titus Bramble (Sunderland) would be ideal past his best and struggling to get in Sunderland squad but would be superb addition to any championship side, his team mate Matt Killgallon, Leon Barnett (Norwich City), or Derek Boyata (Man City).

Poor form? He saved us from going 2-1 behind against Wolves with a worldy one handed save.

And he was great at MK, too.

Poor yesterday, yes. But in poor form? No, not in my opinion.

My fears are... flicker says he calls all his players his children and they are on big family...which as been obvious in the way we've played and celebrated together..but..

Everything must come to an end....weather we stay up or not, flicker will have to let some of his children go....will he be up to that...
Loyalty was part of of Andy Ritchie downfall....its fine line to walk..

Aye yer not on yer own thinking that, only time will tell, but some will have to be dispensed with if he wants to bring in targets in the Summer.

Doubt we'd be able to afford Bramble. Leon Barnett was linked with us a few months ago before we was in the **** so he would have come then. Kilgallon is the only real possibility I believe

Half agree with that and half disagree

Our defence has been pretty good with Crainie Foster and Kennedy playing as 3 centre backs - moving Kennedy to the Left back position disrupts that so it looks like we need a good centre half again
I think its more important to get a relacement for goldbourne then we can go back to playing a system that works

As for your comments about Steele yes he had a poor game by his standards but the previous 2 games he was superb - he also made a couple of pretty good saves yesterday. Only goal he was really at fault for was the second - not sure what he was supposed to do about the others

First goal would have been cleared by Crainie had he not been taken out nothing Steele could do about
3rd goal he would have saved but for the deflection - he almost pulled off a miraculous save from Nyatanga

Goalkeeper is one of the last places I would be looking to change - along with Daggers and Harewood

Steele is a world class shot stopper. but indecision at set peices is a big weakness

Always has been... indecisive rush out, and flaps at crosses but world class one on ones and shot stopping... Struggling at the minute because he doesn't have, Darren Moore, Shackell or other big tall centre half to clear ariel balls from corners and set peices. Foster does a job but isn't a big enough presence, nor is anyone else on the books... Top target should be and should have been for some time a centre half! I wonder we had signed Ibrahim Sonko at the begining of the season if he would have filled the gap... who knows... playing well and with belief! need to plug the gaps. As Flicker said we gave ourselves to big a hill to climb yesterday!

Titus bramble is the worst player i've seen since Carlton Palmer and Phil Babb put their boots on.

Guaranteed to cost us points with a mistake or 2. I think bringing a LB is all we need to do at the moment. Get back to 532. The team misses Golbourne so we need to replace him.

Anyone that thinks Titus Bramble is the answer to ANYTHING obviously has never seen him play football!
Possibly the worst defender ever to play in the Premiership.

Look at the Goals Burnley concede, big forward in the middle and Shackell goes missing, couldn't even handle Tudgay at Oakwell.
