What you didnt see was

The blatant foul at the other end that started the move off
or the other 4 really top class saves that Colgan made

Colgan tends to do a fair few howlers that could evidentaly cost us.

but he balances that out with some class saves that saves us from embarrassment. You take the rough with the smooth.

Yes he has made a few

But 2 points - If he didnt make the occasional mistake and had a better command of the area he wouldnt be playing for us - he would be in the prem easily. We are a struggling second div side - he is a good second division keeper. And its a team game - on balance for the defence only Hassel and Kay are good enough for this league, and in Midfield Howard and Hayes (and Reid if we can keep him) I thought Colgan was our best player yesterday. 2 phenomenal saves and 2 other class saves - and he does it regularly. Our goals against column would be much worse without him

As do most goalies at this level

it's the nature of the position.

    Don't they all?

I suspect Colgan is no worse than the majorty in this league.

    The real problems lie elsewhere.

Yes not just colgans fault though defender backing off all the time instead of getting a foot in.
