Two off the woodwork, one well saved by the keeper from the spot. We need to start taking these chances. Along with a ruck of individual errors, it's costing us points.
CH went berserk after that goal knocking the corner flag out. If only he could put the same power behind his penalties. I've said it before but I HATE this habit of stroking it along the ground into the corner. Gives the keeper a chance every time. He only had to blast it about four or five feet above ground and it would be a goal every time. Some players do but he doesn't. Had that gone in we could have gone on to win comfortably .
Add to that the open goal missed by Isgrove. We've wasted some incredible chances in the last few games. I think we hit the woodwork 3 times on Tuesday, at least twice in the last home game. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Hourhines penalty was put right in the corner the keeper made a decent save but not enough power from what I can remember haven watched it back yet though.
I'm not saying his penalties are poor. All I am saying is that he usually gives the keeper a chance by hitting them low. He didn't get away with it yesterday because Long guessed right. Hit it hard and high and it removes that risk
It definitely wasnt a brilliant penalty. A brilliant penalty doesn't get saved. Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk
To be fair I just watched the highlights and you are the right Their defenders are having at go at the the lad making the stupid challenge Not one player goes the referee That's when you know it's a clear penalty And also great save to be fair , yes you should score from 12 years but wasn't exactly straight down the middle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
4 or 5ft high are good heights for keepers good penalty takers aim for top or bottom corner, makes the keeper work.
Just flicked through frame by frame and you're both right. In real time I thought Hammill 'bought it', slowed down he gets a nick on the ball defender clips his right leg. Was never unhappy with the award, it just looked soft from where I sit in the Ponty.
