Unless I’m reading it wrong I don’t think many League 1 and 2 games will be affected, it’ll mostly be championship games that are moved.

I get even only 2 or 3 being moved could potentially be a pain for fans who travel from further afield or have other responsibilities, but I don’t feel like it’s the massive change some fear.

If we ever return to the championship that’s a different kettle of fish entirely of course.

The kick off times wont change unless we are a featured game on sky sports (which we haven't been at all this season up to the play offs). It will be similar to the red button service that championship midweeks games have.

The way I read it is that if we’re going to be live on tv 20 times a season none of those games can kick off at 3pm on a Saturday, except for the first and last game.

Yeah I’d imagine it will be similar to most EFL clubs. I guess the Sky payout must’ve been good!

According to this announcement, all games on normal sky channels will have a minimum of 8 cameras, and those from championship & league 1 on streaming will have a minimum of 4 cameras. League 2, 2 cameras.
    All midweek matches live.
Each weekend 10 matches live - 5 championship and 5 from leagues 1/2.

    I hope you’re right.

But looks like there will be a lot more featured games next season on this new service. It says every team has to be on at least 20 times and with the 3PM blackout still in force, I can’t see how that doesn’t impact our kickoff times.

I for one will NOT be paying Sky a penny to watch any games next season. I am also going to cancel my iFollow subscription, the highlights are available on YouTube and I rarely listen to live commentary and they won't be live streaming games any more so there's no point.

Sounds encouraging for those of us who watch a fair bit of on screen footy.

Is the amount of Sky money paid to our club affected by the number of paying viewers? If not, then would our club be better off financially if we all stick with iFollow and watch from "overseas"?

And will it be cheaper to watch through iFollow than through Sky? I paid £14.99 per game to watch the playoffs through NowTV. Isn't iFollow less than that?

I am sure many love this but I am not a fan. Too many matches on TV is just going to encourage a generation of armchair supporters and there is no substitute for being there in person.

Are you sure they won't be screeing live for "overseas" customers?

This is simply intended to piss off lower league fans into supporting the end of the Saturday 3pm blackout.

I think the 20 times are the Tuesday night games. Kick off times for these will still be at 19:45.

It's a possibility I suppose but I don't have a VPN and if I'm truly abroad I'd most likely be in our motorhome....
