Maybe just that... Gary the club gardener! Some of the hedges and pot plants looking a bit neglected and our chances in barnsley in boom taking a dive.

Sometimes I wonder why we bother with an academy when we would rather give kids from other teams a go.

He's a great player - was on loan at Coventry I think?

Shortly after he scored a brace foe the U21's? Villa called him back when they got injuries and suspensions?

All of the above might be complete ballacks by the way

Our academy costs one million a year doesn't it? So 1 million times however many years we've had the academy. The take away a couple of small fees we've got for academy players in that time. We must have lost millions over the years from having a youth system. Surely with the lack of production it brings, it would be better to scrap it and give the one million saved to Hill to boost our squad.

that wasnt the point you made though, im a firm believer in local talent being given a chance on the caveat they are good enough.. unfortunatly they often arent.

But if we are throwing one million pounds once a year at an academy, only for us to get kids from elsewhere, it would surely be better to scrap the academy and give Hill that extra one million saved to bump his transfer kitty :)
