Rare weekend off, was gonna take the lads - football, pleasure beach, fish & chips, job done. But they can **** right off - complete & utter joke. Are we financing the Man City takeover or summat??? Laughable - plenty of other stuff to do.

My sentiments exactly mate. I was gonna take the young 'un too but £41 for the two of us (he's only 9) to sit on some scaffolding and probably in the pissing down rain?
    I don't think so.
We should charge their fans the same prices at Oakwell.

Big TV producer like you can afford a trip to Blackie

Enjoy the Olympics? Meet any of the stars: Chris Hoy, Rebecca Adlington, Bradley Wiggins, Ben Ainslie, Christine Ohuruogu etc etc? Any stories?

Not the point, though, Jay! Beijing - aye, terrific trip, but I was ready to come home. My fifth Olympics now and it was the best yet - brilliantly organised. Be interesting to go back in a couple of years and see what's become of it all. Studio was seperate to the Broadcast Centre, so didn't see too many of the guests, but that gymnast lad & the white-water canoeist came into the office; both very down-to-earth and genuinely chuffed to bits with their medals. And so they should be.

Stories? Nowt really - everyone too busy to get up to 'owt! :D A few too many jars down at China Doll was about as good as it got...
