if you honestly believe we have any chance of signing sharp and mcleod then i wouldnt say no.... do you think we will get them ? no didnt think so...
i never said we would sign them and i'm realistic to understand that we do not have much funds for them but i was just stating that they are 2 good players in league one and two and if you had the choice would you sign them???? I would but know that we cannot! All this crap about we need Championship players, we need quality and i was pointing out that the lower leagues do have plenty and i'm not just talking about the sharps, mclouds but other less publicised players!
you keep quoting those same names did we ever try to sign any of them? would we have a chance of signing any of them? could we have afforded any of them? my point remains - fine, there are good players at lower levels, but barnsley never seem to stand a hope of signing them, or simply don't declare any interest. our record for signing lower league players is appalling. we've had 20 crap ones for every decent one. It's all good and well going back to Howard and Hassell, but if someone took the time to give us a full list of every lower division player we've signed over the past 5 or 6 years then our record of picking a gem would be shown up for the farce it is.

have you seen him play this year? so how good or bad do you know he is? ffs good players can come from lower league clubs!!
depends on the player it's not like we're dead and buried - we might stay up and if it's first team football they'd get i am sure some reserve team players form bigger champ clubs wouldn't mind a move. then again we can't afford them.
I'm not doubting that i'm giving examples, am not saying we are going to sign them ffs but pointing out that we should not judge a player from where they come from, what they have done in the past, the all have to prove themselves NOW! Its fickle to say he is rubbish because he has come from league one/two etc when you have bnot seen him play recently! Who wanted horsefield at he start of the season??? Big name player shows ambition etc ballacks donkey Richarsds has scored more than him the player the fans dislike supposdily!! Shvechenko has scored goals galore at milan won trophy after trophy bet that means alot to chelsea fans because he still has to prove himself now! Your right our record is not the best in lower leagues BUT we have also had expensive flops which is twice as bad so called players who ahve done this done that, means **** all!!!!!!!
