Richards had one kick and scored but other than that every time the ball was pumped up to him it came straight back As for Nardia, its plain to see that this guy hasn't got the stamina for Championship football. He's ok at the start but soon fades. Kyle Read came on and showed him up. And to say we have been stuck with these 2 plus Hayes and Wright all season. No wonder we are near the bottom Other than that, hard fought game, well done to the TYKES even though they were under the cosh for long periods. I don't think QPR will be relegated, not on that performance anyway

Thats the first post I've read that said QPR played well. Suprised because the commentator said there were quite good- better than at Loftus Road anyhow.
He also said we backed off them and gave them far too much time on the ball. If we do that against Chopra on Friday we'll get battered.

Personally I don't think qpr are that good. They had a decent winger who ran the game in the second half. Other than that they are dirty, and try and play long to Furlong and Blackstock. Barnsley kept them to a few long range efforts.
Agree with the backing off though. We need to stop been know as a 'nice' team and get stuck in and hit them where it hurts early on. Quite a few 'half-hearted' tackles last night.

Only good thing from the teams point of veiw, was that we kept battleing all way through the match and got the reward at the end Other than that we were lucky - if we were playing any team with decent strikers they would have beaten us easy But in saying that...........we were playing without a forward line e.g. booted up to Nardia and Richards and the ball came straight back towards Barnsley - it was poor, but, we won
Long Range efforts? They had 3 from nearer than the Penalty spot in the 1st half.
Still whatever keeps you happy.

RE: Long range Efforts!!!!???? Second half............ How many clear chances did they have!!!???? (chinny)Then how many long range efforts went wide, or into row Z!? (chinny)
Not a matter of what keeps me happy, more fact on the game. Colgan probably made more saves in the minute after we went 2-0 up thanhe did in the whole game.

RE: Only good thing from the teams point of veiw, was Our midfield were run ragged by that Cook fella, we drop back to deeply and that allows us to soak up to much pressure. We are lacking someone of the calibre of Wallwork who can hold the ball up and put a decent pass to one of our players. We hoofed the ball up field, when we had the ball we gave it away to cheaply. Nardiello should come on as a sub he his more affective in that roll, 20 minutes his all we can expect from him after that he looks knackered. Daveys tactics at bringing everyone back for corners and freekicks and not leaving some players up front, adds to the pressure we create ourselves. Still a win is a win, and if we can nick a point or three away from home then we still have a chance. Good luck to the lads on Friday ,they will need it. (chinny)
I thought that was what everyone wanted from him? He got flagged offside a couple of times also (when clean through). They looked close decisions.
For 10 bob and a blackie's egg that we pay out We want George Best and Rivelhino. On crowds of 9,000.
At least 2 headers , and a couple of comedy misses from in front of goal.
The reason Colgan had no saves to make is coz their forwards were utter ****.
I do wish I had seen the game you saw as it sounds a lot better than the one I went to.

RE: At least 2 headers , Yeah they had one cleared off the line, and one shot that hit our defender and straight into Colgan's hand.
Im not denying that they had a few chances, but allot of chances in the second half were from 20-25 yards that went into row Z or wide.

AND FINALLY..................... Yes it was a **** game but end of day give me 6 scrappy wisn between now and May and I'll be a happy man. The pretty football at start of season was pretty borning with 0 points at the end of it.
