That was the expectation of this place in the Summer. In fact, I've got a thread favourited where kids were saying we'd be cut adrift at Christmas. We still might be but being a couple of places above relegation is where all and sundry expected us to be. Not hoped or wanted but expected.

It's been poor these past 10 games. First 8 or so were pretty good in comparison. Add 'em together = average.

We'll be reight.

 

I just hope you are right. Someone below is surely going to put something together and if we are not winning.....

 

Millwall were below us in the league last year with 7 games to go. They won 5 out of the last 7. Now they're what everyone is raving abart.

That's all it takes. We'll piss it tonight. And Satdi. And we'll draw away at Leicester. And beat Wednesday. Then Keith will get the Chelsea job.

With Greening, Buzasky and Mellis being avaialble, I'd be ditching the two defensive midfielders and going with 2 in the middle of the park, at least at home. Therefore Perkins may struggle to get back in....

 

I'd be going 442 tonight with O'Brien out wide. As soon as we put a few crosses in last week we looked dangerous.

I will agree with that. We've got to drop this two defensive midfielders at home. This is part of the reason we are so slow in attacking. That and an insistence of short passing all the time. Sometimes we have to mix it up a little. You know hit the corners, get throw ins, get the bal lin the box. Obviously accompanied by a few players...

 

The key thing to us playing keep ball - score first.

 

Correct. But if we don't that is when we have to change it. Or if it is obvious that our initial tactics or attempting to pass our way to the goal aern't working. The majority of goals come from crosses into the box I think....we don't cross in much because we have no width, hence we don't score much.

 

To be honest, I think the play-offs are going to be a tall order at this rate.

 

Next season.... Champions?
