Just to add fuel to the fire

Weve lost 6 from our last 8 games.

I still think we will stop up but if we are looking to build on each season and are supposed to be keeping blind faith in Davey i would have hoped for a slightly better end to this campaign.

 

The cup run has probably saved him from getting the sack ......

........ I don't like the chopping and changing of Managers at the rate we have done over the last few years but in my opinion we will never get anywhere with him in charge

Problem we have is that it is clear that SD holds grudges with players. It's either agree with the managers way of thinking / playing or rot in the reserves.
Maybe at a big club you can do that, but at BFC you can't afford to have players sat in the stands and collecting the pay pack just for training! Some of those players could have helped us out this season.

Think he needs to realise that it could cost him his job if continues into next season

Couldnt that quote be applied to most of what you say. You obviously think the sun shines out of his backside!

My serious argument is:
After several months in the job i believed Davey showed no promise as a manager. I was shocked when he was offered the permanent post. Even more so when he was given a 4 year contract. I have seen lots of evidence to support my view ie his lack of tactics, his failure to man manage, not to mention his stubborn Cloughie style attitude (despite only being in the managerial game a year or so).
On the plus side he has helped us to the semis of the cup and on occasions ie v West Brom, Watford, but sadly its only on occasions. Winning a couple of games here and there, with no consistency makes him come across as though he hasnt got a clue.
Just because ive stuck to what i have said (because i have seen very little to change my mind) you want to have a go.
Oh and by the way i have been on here several times this season after we have won so that argument is gettin old ( a bit like your anti-irish ****** you kep repeating) The only bigot on here is you!

Well sure Togwell, Johnson, Christenson would have something to say from watching in stands / bench.

If we'd won the Cup, got into Europe and got automatic promotion

our first defeat in the Premiership and you'd break the land speed record back to your keyboard with a huge erection to give it the 'Davey this Davey that' nonsense, for god sake give him some credit for what we've achieved this season. He's made some mistakes, there's no perfect manager. And to criticise the guy for being like Cloughie, are you for real?

We need to strengthen in the summer, but not 8 fcking players, and besides, there aint that many paddies to choose from.

The fact is and it is a fact, Johnson was signed on a agreemnt that he would intergrate with BFC to taking his coaching badge as well as playing for the team, Davey has renagded on that deal because of personal issues with Johnson, ie that Johnson does like to go out with the players for a beer, this is a policy which Davey cannot accept from prespective coaching staff, secondly and again a Fact , When chisteanson was left out of the team after scoring at Charlton, He met with Davey and told Davey that he was a far better striker than Stan or OJ and should be given a fair crack at being a regular choice, this was past on from Ian Applyard who spoke to 2 players who Christienson had confided in.
In my opinion Davey is arrogant beyond his experience and his man management skils re poor as well, if you catch Anthony Kay or any other x player whom still drink with the current squad you would get a real shock into the arrogant vindictive world of Mr Davey..

 

Players last season who didn't agree with certain things quickly went.
I know of one player last season that was told he would never wear the shirt again simply because he said something regards to Ritchie getting the boot!

So my opinion is yes he does hold grudges with players.

Reserve team

Ive said before its mickey mouse and shouldnt really be a judge of a player, but I happened to see Christensen against the Wendies and blimey he had two shots on goal and both times he was trying to trap the ball on the half way line. And I've never seen a player look so unfit, blowing out of his arse after 20 minutes and the pace was pedestrian.

Davey is a manager that looks for commitment, application and work rate. Christensen, from what I've heard, thought he should be first choice without breaking a sweat. Johnson didnt look fit at the start of the season, and again from what I've heard, has 'struggled'. Togwell is on the bench and has got on when needed, but other than the last 2 games, Hassell has been a revelation. Davey's choice to put him there, cos he saw he had ability, which has been proven. Tiredness has caught up with him, fair dos.

I've met Davey a few times and I can honestly say he doesnt come across as someone who would hold a grudge. He sets high standards, and knows how to give them a kick up the backside, but there's no room for sentiment.
