Aye, what about the second tier of Swiss football though - where Mounir was plying his trade before last season?
oh well that must eb a shocking standard, why didnt we just sign soemone from the unibond league, eh?????? obviously SD has had his scouts out, and he thinks he can do something for us................ so what about the second tier of bloody swiss football??????????????? if you were a bloody expert you would know...............
I'm saying nowt about the players. There've been two or three posting on here saying Brazilian top tier is equivalent to Championship. Load of tosh.
Not sure that's true mate Have you ever clarified butter? Thoroughly boring and pointless procedure. Far easier to buy some ghee from shop and you get a better product.
but you end up with clarified butter, which is your reward. People don't seem to understand Pete's post, they've just got wound up about the swiss league? Which is slightly more random then the lottery, if I apply your level of disagreement formula obviously.
Unfortunately I've yet to experience that level of satisfaction - mainly because you can buy it from the shop just down the road. Maybe if I did it myself I wouldn't be such a moaning sod. Although having said that I don't like to get on the players backs at all - I suppose we were a little spoiled with Hume.

You're right. I didn't mention the Swiss league in this post. I did somewhere suggest that Basle are better than any team in the Championship tho'. Didn't think it would be that controversial.

RE: Just to clarify something-BRAZIL??? Colace won the Brazilian title with Flamengo last season (I think I read that).
he played 5 games for them according to wikipedia, thats andy johnson esc, couldn't exactly say he helped them win the title, has spent most of his time in argentina
RE: Just to clarify something-BRAZIL??? And once more back to the OP. Several comments on several threads stating that the Brazilian top flight was comparable to the Championship. This thread is tangental to that and is not really about players we've signed or where they've come from. My original statement that I'm sticking to is that the Brazilian top flight is a higher standard than the Championship. I know nothing about our new signings or where they've played their football.
I think you are right and so is the top division in Argentina, Mexico also, but Barnsley have not signed any Mexicans yet.
