...that no ones really mentioned our poor performance Saturday. Not seen anything like what I expected of Andy Gray's miss, McNulty bashing or Wiseman ballackings. Just moaning abart Keith Hill. Just like everyone was at the end of August. And then we dint lose for nearly 2 months. Chill the f.ck art.
True. Perhaps he ought to look at why we were ****e first half instead of looking for ways to deflect? I will start for him; Doyle poor, Wiseman poor, Butterfield missing, Gray bossed.
what a silly post They will get feedback but not in public. You protect your players in the public and be a little forceful in the dressing room. As Ramos said a couple of month ago, you don't criticise anyone at your club in public. Jose M did it and 5/6 players came out straight away including all there big players including Alonso, Casillas, ect and told it straight don't ever do it. He's not done it since. It doesn't matter who you are, real madrid barnsley or barnet. It stays behind close doors.
Re: what a silly post so a customer booing a poor performance at half time is bad but keith hill slating the team in the dressing room at half time is good. Why the double standards? Why is he allowed to criticise the team but the paying customer is not? I'm still laughing about him slating the fans intelligence while showing himself to be a bit too thick to know who was announced as MOTM and showing a lack of intelligence in his programme notes too.
Re: what a silly post Which bit do you disagree with? The bit about him criticising players but slating fans for doing the same? (I accept some will think differently on that so fair enough). Or the second bit about him essentially calling fans thick while getting it spectacularly wrong and fecking up in his programme notes too?
Re: what a silly post Why do the players need special protection from the fans in one breath, yet he slagged Vas Te all over the media in the next. Very inconsistent.
Re: what a silly post Not seen the programme and no idea what you're on about with the MOM either. But to compare a manager ********** his team at half time to a negative atmosphere at the game and booing is barmy. And just to say, I think both sides have taken things out of context. I thought fans were booing Butterfield when MOM was announced but then had a think and realised what it was - booing the decision. Not right, but not the same. And I think fowk on here have taken Hill's comments too far afterwards. Have you heard the Barnsley Player interview today? His tone has changed, he says fans are the lifeblood etc etc. But noones mentioning that on here. Heat of the moment, get on wi' it. But the biggest disappointment for me was that was our first bad home performance in two months. And after 45 minutes fowk are booing. Just don't get it.
Re: what a silly post In the programme he said that people have criticised the strikers but in the last four games we've scored enough goals to win them all. Really? We didnt score at portsmouth... And the MOTM thing, Hill slated the fans and claimed that they were showing a lack of education by booing when MCNULTY was named as MOTM. As we all know this was a huge **** up by Hill as McNulty was never named as MOTM so it is HE who has shown a lack of education.
Re: what a silly post I don't think he's saying that at all. Saturday first half wasn't great. But it was the first poor performance in two months and straight away fowk are booing. Lack of realism.
Re: what a silly post I agree with you HT, but I don't see anything wrong with a manager being honest about performances. Not saying he should be saying so and so was sh ite or owt like that, but acknowledgement that it was a poor performance. Maybe offer some opinion on where he thinks it went wrong, don't hear much of that sort of stuff from him. I am on the side of not really caring what Hill says, but he seems to just talk a lot of waffle to me at times, it's a mix of psychology and management speak, can't quite put my finger on it but there is something quite, I don't know, cheesy about it. But like I said I don't really care, provided he improves us as a football club.
Re: what a silly post in side yes he will tell them that. hard on the outside honest on the inside. ecb test got from 5th to first like that. just don't expect him to start slating team in media.
Re: what a silly post Other managers say it how it is regarding team performances, please don't try to tell me they don't because I have heard them. And as you mentioned the cricket, so do they, I sometimes watch cricket interviews and think how refreshing it is to hear them speak of poor performances, and wish it would happen in football more often. You totally missed my point anyway, so I will leave it there.
Re: what a silly post He said the wrong name, we call that a mistake. Maybe one day, you might make one. Let's hope folk don't immediately dismiss you as being uneducated for it. Besides, the point still stands even if he said the wrong name. Booing the MOTM, even if you don't agree with the decision, is totally ridiculous.
