We were today. Not amazingly so, or in general, but too good for Burton. It took until the goal for it to become obvious, but from there on in it was like a training exercise and a bit boring really. Not a dig that. Just don't get much joy from beating a club the size of Burton so comfortably. Felt a bit sorry for em because they never stopped trying to play. But we were just too good for em. . I thought the minute silence was observed impeccably, and well done too was the applause for Lydia Bennett. I hope the Burton fans appreciated us joining in. **** crowd, but more fool those who couldn't be arsed to spend a tenner to support their side. 5-0 wins are as rare as rocking horse **** and even though it wasn't much of an opposition today, we put em away clinically. Winnall just gets better, and that treble was taken in equally clinical fashion. Trotta looks the hold up option we needed. Lita impressed me when on. Treacy didn't. Back four were solid and both full backs got forward well, Cranie was immense. Midfield were a bit narrow again but once we're moving they're all a joy to watch. Luke Berry my man of the match. Did a lot of spadework. Just wish that chip had floated in. . You Reds
It brought a tear to my eye when I saw everyone clapping for Lydia. They started on 25 mins though, wasn't it supposed to be 29?
Agree Winnalls going from strength to strength but cranie was my motm. So many options top end of the field too. Plenty of league home games coming up now to chase the top 6. Up the Reds! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Really good today. We knocked it around beautifully. We've got plenty of goals in us, but I did think Burton troubled our defence. Still, going forward we were great. I know we played a team from the league below, but it was lovely to watch. Patient passing, good ball retention, threatening. I loved the first goal. That's a penalty! No? Okay, we'll play on, then. Ball cut back, shot, rebound tucked in. It feels good tonight. The team and manager deserve a lot of credit.
