    It was laughable

    The referee has lost the plot. You could tell from the reactions of all the players that he'd got it horribly wrong. No doubt the FA will overturn it, but Wigan effectively play the whole game with 10 men. Not sure you'll see this ref again for a week or two.

    Koumas stretching slightly as he went to tackle Cahill. Misjudged it and just caught top of Cahill's foot as he played the ball away. Even a booking would have been harsh.

    Sorry, didn't mean to be flippant. I'm a producer on MOTD, currently turning 90 minutes of Fulham/Everton sow's ear into 13 minutes of silk purse. Got the other two games on monitors in front of me.
