Correct, he would still be Vaz Te team mate if not for the injury!

If i was in charge at the club i would withdraw the contract offer, butterfield is pissing up the club and the fans backs,we all know if he was'nt injured he would have gone in january he had no intention of signing a new contract,i am fooked off with the jumped up little fooker keeping us all dangling, dont get me wrong i would love him to stay the lads a talent, but the bullsh*t he keeps feeding the fans via the comical is starting to boil my piss.

something along the lines of he wants his future sorted before the end of the season and he will sit down and look at the clubs offer before the end of the month, why the end of the month?the contract was offerd to him weeks ago so he should know whats in it.

Why the end of the month?

Probably have a better idea of whether he's likely to be back playing football anytime soon. If he's crocked for another 6 months he'll not have any option but to sign.

What annoys me about all this is that he will most likely walk at the end of the season but he has come out and said that he has no intention of rushing to get back fit before the end of the season either.

Are players allowed to do that then? Just slow down their rehabilitation despite picking up a wage every week?

To be fair to him, he has got no option but to take it easy, he cannot rush back even if he wanted to. His career is on the line and he has to do as he is told.
Whether he is at BFC next year has nothing to do with how long the injury will keep him out for.

Good luck to the lad in whatever decision he makes. He's been a revelation, and the best player I have ever seen thru our academy in my time.
He is far too good to be at Oakwell, and deserved the recognition he got, and any potentially lucrative move to the Greed League.
I am still baffled by comments against his personality. But then I forget you are all on speaking terms with the lad....
If he signs, I hope you all eat your words. Not that Id sign if I was Jacob.
Lets hope he or his family dont still peruse this forum. You would think he'd killed someones cat.
Why not attack the character of Vaz Te??
Funny, fickle lot that 'support' us

If we withdraw the contract offer then he can leave for nothing, so it's a good job you aren't running the club.

He says he'll look at his options, and to see if there are offers from other clubs - but he has to look after his own career. He's aware that sitting on the bench at a PL club is not good for him, but he's confident that if he was given the chance he'd be able to make the step up.

I don't blame the guy, he might even get his move to a bigger club (for a fee) and be loaned back to us for next season to get his form back to where it was.

I like Adam Lallana, Jordan Rhodes, but they are too good for us to tempt here, dont you agree?
    Same goes for Jacob.
Thought it made sense when I first said it but hey ho.
And as for being a dumpling.... ffs, I take it your self-imposed Oakwell exile ended when we started winning?
    Dumpling maybe, fickle never
