Should have got to the ball before Hayles, and stopped the ball going across the six yard box for second. I know the defenders should take some blame also.
The Plymouth Keeper really should have stopped Werlings goal, even though it was hit with tremendous pace.
But what I liked was the fact that the ball was actually played into the channels and we got the first goal from that.
Still tended to play a bit too much long ball at times tho`. Ferenczi is a lot better player when the ball is whipped in to him , rather than lumped up field for him to fight over.
Overall the signs are encouraging, but still got a lot of work to do at the back, we are still falling asleep at crucial moments. Nyatanga looks to be struggling more this season too.

2nd goal was surely a result of lightweight defending by the MOTM.

I dont expect to see Reid in the team again,

Sousa looks far happier in the middle than on the left hand side of the three. We still need some wing backs who can defend better.

The new Brazilian dude looks like he can cross a ball which should please Christiansen and Ferenczi.

Very very harsh on Muller - the first goal was a result of 2 or 3 men losing their markers - and the 2nd, he made a very good save and was unlucky the ball broke to Chadwick, who hadn't been tracked at all.

Colgan may have stopped the 2nd, he would have been stood on his line for the first - Colgan wouldn't have been at fault for either goal, and neither is Muller.

Colgan was dropped because he didnt come from his line

Muller does the same thing and no-one says anything about it, yet I am being very harsh for spotting that.
Very fickle some fans here.
Muller should have stopped the ball for the second goal.

I agree that muller was at fault for the second goal but i don't think he could do much about the first goal tbh.

he should not have been tied to his line.
He was late going to meet Hayles, its not as if Hayles actually headed the ball from inside the six yarder, he put it in with his foot.

I don't agree.

The ball should have been cleared by the umpteen defenders that the ball flew past... how on earth can a keeper come out to a ball whipped in at pace like that when there's over a dozen players who could deflect it in a different direction?

I said same

And I wasn't criticising Muller but pointing out the hypocrisy, one occasion very early in the game when he got a couple of big cheers for routine things and my mate said - "apparently Muller's biggest attribute.....he's not Colgan!"

Muller................

Yes, he should have had the first goal - an attacker shouldn't be picking a ball up at the edge of the 6 yard box when it is floated into the box like that
He should have split Hayles in two

Second goal was a bit of weak defending by Sousa. He needs to understand that English league players can use strength. BUT, as soon as Muller saw Sousa was struggleing he sould have been out and down at the attackers feet - instead he just stood there. So Muller partly responsible for that one

But on the positive side he did throughout the rest of the match command his area much better than Colgan

That save just before the break was vital

And we nearly scored from a breakaway which he started

All keepers will make mistakes sometimes what is important is their overall contributions. Mullers distribution is good and we will score some goals because of it at times, hopefully cancelling out any we concede from his mistakes.

Oh, and I think Colgan is a good keeper too.

Agree with the first

Thought he should have done better with that, come out to catch/punch.

2nd was a ****-up all round, and I wouldn't blame him too much for that.

Looks a decent keeper, but I reckon we could have some heart-stopping moments with him.

Still, we're Barnsley fans and used to those.
