Two players in particular stood out.

    1. Paul Reid. I hadn't realised until I sat back and watched the video, just how good he'd been. His goalsaving tackle on Leon Knight on the edge of the six yard box, at 2-1 down in the 2nd half, could have been curtains for us. Lead by example, and was very unlucky with his header.

    2. Paul Hayes. He has his critics, but I thought he stood up to be counted yesterday, bigtime. Every time someone seemed to break away from our own penalty area, he seemed to be him - and he didn't give it away either. Great goal, great penalty, and great WORKRATE yesterday.

Honourable mentions to everyone, but Reid and Hayes were outstanding yesterday, and, for that matter, so were Kay and Heckingbottom, who I thought at the time were very good and the video just confirmed it.

I agree - watching from a Swansea perspective I thought Hayes was excellent for you, always looked a threat when he had the ball, plenty of good touched and passes and wasn't afraid to get stuck in and defend either. Reid again had a very good game, was it him that tackled Bayo in the edge of the area in extra time? Superb tackle that was.
