Just watched the LJ pre match interview

All 33 minutes of it

I have and still will continue to criticise LJ while performances carry on the way they have been

But I can't help but think we do have a good manager in charge and he will get this right with time

I really hope we get 3 points Saturday and things start to come together

In no way did I find the performance acceptable against Shrewsbury or Rochdale but I honestly think we will have a successful season

In LJ we trust

He talks very elequently and gives off an aurora that he knows what he is doing.

Translated onto the pitch it's the usual ******** we have put up with for last few years!

Still puzzled as to the boards attraction in the 1st place.

His cv must have read:

Managed Oldham and had one or two thrashings in my time there but I talk a good game if that helps.

And in no way am I going to say your wrong because at the moment it looks as though your right

The man confuses me and makes me believe every word he says but if performances don't improve I think more and more people will think the same as you

We all pay good money to watch the team and we are all entitled to our opinion nobody is right or wrong but we can all agree performances have been ***** excluding Everton and millwall

Even the burton match on which we won was pretty dire

We all want the same and that's a competitive team in league 1 and at the moment we look mid table at best

Warm today here on the Costa, Dr Z !

 

Just watched it myself, and I've come away feeling more optimistic. There's little doubt he can talk a good game, and yes, we're yet to see that rolled out onto the pitch but I'm fully behind him and hope we give him the necessary time to get us back where we ought to be, which isn't mid-table L1.

Glad he took the BBS piss taking about his presentation well, saw it for what it was which was a bit of fun. And his thoughts on why he picked himself in that friendly made perfect sense to me, seems he's trying anything possible to solve the problem of communication between his players. He referred to that problem as 'total', in other words, if the lads learn quickly how to talk on the pitch, how to communicate with each other he expects us to be much better. I think Bobby Hassell's testimonial game was prime example. The silence was deafening first half, but once the older lads came on second half the noise levels increased.

This is what happens I suppose when you recruit/build the youngest squad in the country. It's why we need to be patient. Fans and club alike. I know I am. I might be a little bit pissed off now and again, and have a moan on here, twitter, my youtube, whatever. But that's not down to defeats. I'm a Barnsley supporter, defeats are regular. It's the ***** football on show, lack of graft or entertainment, players allowed to run through us unchallenged, these are the things that piss me off. Don't get me wrong, I'd take playing **** but winning, just to get out of this division, but we really ought to be entertaining at this level with the talent in our squad. £25 might not be much to the powers that be at Oakwell, or to the players and staff, but that's a steep price to the average working man for the gash we're served up more often than not.

Making up for the deluge down here on Monday n Tuesday

 

A decent display and victory on Saturday will do Everyone the power of good!

 

We were holed up in an Italian here in Alicante Tuesday aft, Mr Z. By God it came down! But showing that true bulldog spirit we kept ordering more drinks untill it stopped!

 

Myself and the Good Mrs Z got caught up in the deluge down Old Benidorm but managed to frequent an establishment named Dominos Bar.

Some very strange folk in Old Benidorm you know

 

He's an extremely likeable fella. Being likeable does not necessarily make you a good manager, but it doesn't mean you can't be either. I hope he is and makes us successful. Far too early to judge yet.
