...Off on Sat, never seen them but have heard great reports from those that have. Don't know much about the support acts though - Kate Nash and The Enemy. Downloaded some of their stuff and came to the conclusion that Kate Nash is a kind of female Billy Bragg and not without talent, but thet The Enemy are just another bland run of the mill Britpop outfit. Any thoughts?
They're all playing the Isle of Wight festival next month, so presumably they'll do the same sets. Let me know how it goes. Kate Nash played the Bestival last year and was very well received by all accounts.
I saw em last year at sheffield arena, I thought they were pretty good, no idea on the support acts though.
Gates are at three, but I might try to find a pub to watch play off final before going in. So I might miss some of the support anyway.

6 weeks. Got an email saying visas are sorted, just waiting for passports to be posted back. Just got bits like money to get sorted now. Think we are just gonna get enough for a couple of days, then bring bank card and draw it out there. Are there any particular banks that we should use, that aren't gonna rip us off with charges?
No idea on parking, we are getting a taxi.

I checked my UK account today and Lloyds gave me a shocking exchange rate last time I drew out the hole in the wall. Bank rate is 46.6 rubels to the pound, and they gave me 44.9, so I would recommend taking sterling and swapping it there, there's exchanges everywhere and you'll get a better rate. Even better would be if you have some Euros knocking around. The Russian banks won't charge you at all for using your UK cashcard at the hole in the wall, it's the ones back home you want to watch!
Nationwide don't charge any fee, and usually get a decent rate. I opened an account just for travelling. Will check with them what their rates are, if its ok will go with that.
Kate Nash A Catherine Tate sketch show character. Like Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins reading a passage from a James Joyce novel. The Enemy - West Midlands rock dwarves that sing in a stupid exaggerated way.
Support acts Kate Nash Recording an album full of songs about half-heard conversations on the top deck of the bus is not big or clever. The Enemy Poor Jam tribute act
yep, I'm going Saw Kaiser Chiefs at the arena and tehy were brilliant there. Never seen The Enemy live either so i can't wait. Just prepare yourself for plenty of Leeds fans singing leeds songs all night (wnkr)
Yeah im going along, not too fussed about the kaisers going for the enemy mainly and also i got a free ticket!
Wouldn't the Kaiser Chiefs be just another bland run of the mill Britpop outfit? The singles off the second album were a right dog. Sorry, each to their own and all that.
