Did we not sign Jim O'Brien for nowt, from Scotland, at 22 years old?

Does that mean the rules and regs have changed then since?

Suppose we'll find out from Ben and co shortly.

I don't know, Andy. However, I'm certain people working within the industry will.

I don't know if I'm right or not, but I'm sure even though he was out of contract at Motherwell, it cost us around £200-400k with relevant compo etc.

Kane will not cost a lot, he has only been with us for one season since being freed by glasgow rangers so the compensation is for development and that is only one year. Probably a small sum plus maybe a sell on clause.

I can guarantee it won't cost us a lot, because we're skint. If it did look like it was going to be a bit expensive I would imagine we'd be driving him back to Fife with our tails firmly between our legs! Our transfer budget, depending upon the quality of the player we're looking at, ranges from 'free' to 'dirt cheap'.

Just give us the petrol money that you would have spent driving him back and a sell on clause, deal done.

You can't be skint, he was offered good terms by Dundee but Coventry and yourselves were better with barnsley coming out on top so somone must have opened a biscuit tin.

Probably the best goal scorer I have seen at Cowdenbeath in the last 10 years.

He isn't the hardest worker but give him the ball and he has one thing in mind. Score
