    Hat trick yesterday looking like a world beater north of the border. Scottish football is very poor.

    It certainly is of a poor standard.

    Marley Watkins is another from north of the border who is struggling to adapt to the english game.

    I do agree that the standard of football being served up here ATM is of a poor standard.

    In fact almost as poor as the quality I observed at Oakwell at the Shrewsbury and Crewe games.

    Looks like we ALL have our problems in this department.

    Yes the standard at oakwell has been poor most of this season tbh. But when kane hemmings left us to play in the spl Scotlands premiership I never imagined him doing so well scoring hat tricks ect. Pleased for him but I don't think the spl is a much better league than league one

    Neither did I when he chose to join that other lot. Freak result, it happens. Sorry but for obvious reasons I can't wish him well.

    So our SPL in your opinion is no better than your league 1. Hmm so tell me exactly how much SPL football have you watched live to come to that opinion?

    SPL not great, plenty room for improvement but not as bad as you want to make out.

    I'll be honest I haven't seen much just going on the players I have seen come and go from the league. I think the top teams of the spl Celtic Aberdeen ect are of a better standard than league one.

    Yeah I agree. Although both would struggle to challenge at the top of the your Championship. Even Celtic are not that good. We do admittedly have a lot of improving to do but our league is not as bad as some would have you believe. Even we have played some good stuff this year but it's the results and lack of wins that has ruined this season for me.

    Got to agree Ian...how can anyone down here suggest the SPL is crap when they don't watch it.

    How good can it be if kane hemmings is scoring for fun and marley Watkins was a stand out player in it last season.

    OK redrum. Maybe it's because Kane is a better player than you thought and Barnsley couldn't get the best out of him.

    It happens. Some players just don't / can't do it at some clubs. Take Fernando Torres at Liverpool for example.

    Sometimes you have to look at the broader picture.

    Two players, one who failed miserably and one who is doing ok...ish in a 4th bottom side is not enough evidence to write a league off you don't watch.

    Same logic can apply the other way though. Vaz Te struggling at hibs in the spl and subsequently being released before scoring a hattrick for us in the championship and firing west ham into the prem.
    It happens for some players at some clubs and it doesnt for others
