I can tell you now Karl you won't be retaining him for the rest of the season.

That's encouraging. When he was subbed within 10 minutes of the restart last week I thought he wasn't even making an impression in the league below. It's good to hear that he is.

I'm sure he was described as unplayable by a few before we sent him out on loan, it probably wasn't in the same sense though :D

I'm sure Danny will be taking a look at him.

We certainly need RNL back & if Jennings is match fit we should be looking at either giving him a run out, or if he isn't up to it offloading him in January & cutting our losses.

Class is permanent, and he was a class player for Tranmere. He just needed a bit of game time. He was performing regularly in the Development Squad, but never really got a fair crack in the team. Maybe now MK Dons have got him up to speed, he could show us what he's really got to offer.

Lets be getting him back at the earliest possibility, I sure Danny would get him playing well for us.

Perfect scenario for us. We have him under a three year deal and he's clearly finding some form. Danny can take a look and hopefully he can add something to our attacking play in the second half of the season.

His career with us hasn't yet got going.

Reminds me a bit like Hume (after that incident).

So desperate to do well and tries that hard it actually had the opposite effect.

Chill out and relax a bit and im sure he will do well.

I would agree with getting him back as early as possible on the proviso that we do play him regularly. I honestly think, given the amount of time he's been out injured/not playing, that playing every week for the rest of the season at MK Dons would have a greater long term benefit for Barnsley than him coming back and being a bit part player in our run in.

There's certainly places up for grab in midfield, as non of 'em have been consistent this season.

Disagree with that. Give him another month or so at MK to really get up to speed, so when he's back with us he'll be firing on all cylinders. He still hasn't done 90 minutes for MK. The longest he's lasted so far is 75 minutes, which was the game at the weekend, so he's slowly building up. The last time he played a full 90 minutes in senior football was May 2011. He's had a serious knee injury since then too. When he can do a full 90 minutes for MK and his form is back to what it was with Tranmere, that'll be the time to bring him back.

Finding places for Jennings, McCourt, Cwyska, JOB is a tough ask.

Danny has said he's looking to close up the goal difference (which reads as having fit and energetic midfielders involved) so I can't see Jennings getting back into team in short-term, unless he is playing so well that you simply can't leave him out?

Good points...but maybe bring him back for a week or two, let Danny have good look first hand...get inside his head, and then allow him back out..
Am sure Tompole's place is up for grabs long term, For Jennings or RNL to make there own..

I think we need him back, I do like Cwyka but he rarely has any impact when he starts, Jennings could be a better fit for his position.

It's becoming clear that Flitcroft had his favourites and seemed to base his team selections purely on his perceived effort in training rather than ability because RNL should be at least sitting on the bench if not in the team, and Jennings has always had the ability it was just fitness he was struggling with. Now MK seem to have got him something like fit then we need him back, we can't be charitable with the position we are in.

I suppose the other question would be, if MK Dons were willing to give us what we paid for Jennings should we take it to allow Danny a bit more freedom in the next window as I'd be very surprised if we could make any significant changes without three or four players leaving.

    Really good to hear.

I don't think Cywkas playing that well at the moment.
Jennings could come in and be a very good player for us. Him or RNL on that side.

If he's worth his weight in gold we should cash the fat barsteward in and go out and buy 50 messi's and give a bit of spare change to cameron to pay off the national debt

Could be a different player under Danny, also RNL and Dagnall
