Jay... he was average....like the rest of em. Won lots of headers in midfield, and played an excellent ball for Nads to score the equaliser.
Not my, nor lots of people around the ground, MOTM.

No way was he man of the match Had an uncharacteristic couple of minutes where he looked brilliant but was pretty none-existent for the other 88. McPhail was the man of the match closely followed by Nardiello and Richards.
Cannot for the life of me understand why. Not that he had a bad game by the way, but certainly, imho, not MOM. Nardiello or Richards would have my vote. Devaney can have miss of the season - he could have had a hat-trick in the first half and it could easily have been 4 - 0 by then!! Shukers crossing gets worse. Defenders not concentrating cost us dear. Still, we did at least manage to get our noses in front after going behind - quality finish from Trundle for the equaliser, but the defending was poor. Positives - can't remember when we last created so many chances. Negatives - another 2 points dropped and it was ffffffreezing. It was better watched from the comfort of your sofa.
I cannot for the life of me see how Kay was awarded the MotM today. I know football is all about opinions but it is my opinion that whoever picked Kay had his bloody back to the pitch between the hours of 3pm and 4:45. When Swansea went down to 10 men, we had the extra man, yet scarcely won a single ball in the middle of the park. At times we even had to resort to long-ball tactics. So how a midfielder - either midfielder - could be MotM ia beyond me. McPhail ran the game in the first half but vanished at the hour mark. The defence did well for most of the match, but the syncronised sleeping, where all 4 defenders nod off simultaneously - so much a characteristic of last season - reared its ugly head again. Heckingbottom in particular has a lot of work to do to convince me. He looks OK going forward, decent control, good crossing but as left back his primary role is to defend. His dereliction of that duty, leaving Shuker to track back is what gave Trundle sight of goal for Swansea's second. As for Devaney, how costly will his "missing in action" performance prove? The first horror miss would have been sufficient to see him not sleep too well tonight but to fluff his chance to make amends as well... A far-from-perfect performance from Nardiello, which included the usual dashing of gormless offsides, was marked by a sublime finish and a beautiful ball to put a goal on a plate for Devaney. MotM for me. The ref was poor again as were the linesmen - lots of niggly fouls given when it would have been better to play on, then gets most of the important decisions wrong. All in all, far more too points dropped than a point won and now we really need to come away from Brentford with something.
He wasn't the MOTM in my opinion but he did have a decent game. Personally I thought Richards was the MOTM closely followed by Mcphail.
