Disappointed that he's leaving. Don't like seeing home grown players move on. What's happened behind the scenes? Facts preferred, although what you've heard from a bloke in a pub will do as well.

Contrary to PC's desired aim to have a team full of Barnsley lads, the new management have decided they don't want any in the team or at the club.

    I Think If People........

are going to moan about Kay being let go, they should wait until the replacement is signed, as who's to say the replacement will not be a lot better?

    A more correct version is:

    1. He is Out of contract.

    2. Not good enough for the Championship.

    3. He has let the Club, Manager, Team Mates and Fans down by breaking Club rules and drinking in the period before games.

(pint) (pint) (pint) (pint) (pint) (pint)

Who said he'd been drinking? Are you accusing him of that? The club merely said he'd broken the ban on going into a pub.

LEts face it, he's been on his way out ever since after the cardiff game when Davey 'accidentally' wrote his name down in the squad when he really meant to right Atkinson....

He's been on his way out since he was spotteddrinking the night before the Colchester home game and then when he gets back in the team he does it again. Has to go and to be honest he is only good enough as back up anyway.

So he was spotted drinking which caused the manager to accidentally write his name down on the teamsheet?

Kay has repeatedly broken club drinking bans.
He was on his final warning before his latest incident.

He was out the night before the game, big argument ensued which involved kay and austin. He was dropped meaning Atkinson was brought in at the last minute, hence why he disapeared from the squad for a few weeks. Very much doubt he would have featured again had it not been for injurie's and suspensions

Heard from a very good source that he recently had to be restrained from attacking Davey, that was the final straw.

    why though?

It always taken as a slight towards Davey if that was the case but I think personally, if true , it demonstrates a lack of professionalism by the player and as such its no surprise he's been released.

    The Truth...

Simple fact that he doesn't like Davey. I can't even repeat the word he used to describe him last week, Richards used the exact same word too!

What like why he thinks he's such a star player that he break Club rules on drinking as and when he feels like it?

    The truth about Kay

He's played through half a dozen managers. His head is too big and he thinks he can write his own rules.
Hats off to Davey for putting him straight. If it helps Kay get his act together he's done him a good turn.
