while there were some good performances (second half mainly) from a number of players, Butterfield, Moore (MOM), Steele etc. well done KO, never gave the defence a minutes peace once he got into the game, went for headers, chased down and generally made a nuisance of himself. while he didn't win everything, their defenders were always conscious of his presence. keep it up big man, we'll keep our 600K and charlton can keep Gray
He keeps the other team busy all the time. Never gives them a minutes peace. He contributes every game, even if he doesn't score. Must be a nightmare for defenders.
If he kept his eyes open when he went up for the ball, he might have a better understanding of where he's headed it. Caused them problems, but probably defended more headers away than layed on.
He did ok. Worked hard and caused them problems, and his touch and passing does seem to have improved.
Still think at championship level you need someone who offers more than running around a lot and that 9 times out of 10 any decent centrehalf wouldnt have too much trouble with him.
But the question is should he be first choice up front or Macken, ( after today , play both)? Some of the idiots on here dont want Macken to play, too old and slow they say, Oddjob is on fire they say, going to score 20 goals this season, MY ARSE he is. Macken is a far superior player, he actually knows where he is going to put the ball, not just hope it goes in the right direction.
RE: But the question is People on here know that i have stuck up for both players
Before kick off i wanted Oddy and Boggy up front. But Macken for me was brilliant. Held up the play, spread it around and had some great chances that were denied by the keeper. Easily on another day he could have had an hat-trick
Odejayi, love or loath him, i think he had a very good game. The tactics today looked to have been long ball to Oddy and on floor to Macken. Both i think worked quite well. Yes Odejayi may have lost a few headers but he won his lions share of them, most against arguably the best centre back in this league in Darren Purse
What pisses me off is that people are so easy to get on his back when he does summat wrong but when he does summat good, like the flick on for Mackens goal, no praise is given. Praise should be given where praise is due, just like criticism

Not many of the moaners on today is there doddy. I wonder why. Just get behind him. My friend was giving him stick all Game and when he scored i just smiled at him and nodded my head. Also some of you might think ive got something against hassell but today the only timed he overlapped barnsley scored. Hint hint hassell get on the attack lad.
RE: But the question is thought both worked their nuts off today. as soon as KO gets off the mark i'm sure he will go on a run of goals. i think the lad realises that now is make or break in terms of his career. he either continues this run of form and makes himself a championship striker or leaves for the lower leagues. i know he has the potential to do the former.
Well, on the subject of Hassell, i think that was his worst game i have seen him play. Him and Kozzy, and even Foster, were dog ***** in the 1st half. Luckily we had Darren "The Rock" Moore
RE: But the question is Thats has been said for last 2 seasons mate. He is never going to score many goals and its about time people realized it. If he carries on playing well and helping the team get points then that all we can hope for, but as a goal scorer? He aint one.
the last 2 of pre season and today and most of the games i watch Robert hassell play last season from derby onwards there left mid has had it over him every time. i went to bradford and peter thorne has him for speed and hes 36. Hassells nearly 30 and just does not learn from certain things. Robert kouzluk his fine he has a game a year like today and then he will not have a problem.
I think he knows he has let BFC down and HAS to get it right this year or he is out, same with Wavey Davey. I am one of thier biggest critics, but I really hope they make me eat my words.
This may sound harsh but he simply is not a Championship level footballer. To progress this at level we need a lot more than he can offer and Gray will give us that(if we sign him). What was noticeable is that Davey wants to play with a genuine target man but KO is only filling the void until we can get somone in to do the job full-time.
