Boss wants Odejayi to stay </p><div class="articleBody" id="articleBody">Back in the country following his family holidayRobin's boss John Ward hasentered the arena with a bigeffort to repel those hoping to lurestriker Kayode Odejayito pastures new. </p> John Ward has now spoken to Kayode at some length following this week's speculation that an offer was on the table from a Championship club. </p> The Cheltenham Townstrikerearlier this weekspoke to the club concerned, but wanted to discuss the matter with John Ward before making any further decisions.</p> The Gloucestershire Echo newspaper is reporting today (26 May) that the Ward and Odejayi discussions took place on Friday andthe Cheltenham boss has the full backing of his chairman and board to attempt to persuade Kayode to remain a Robin.</p> "Whether I can compete with a Championship club is another matter, but the chairman and the board have backed me in my attempts to do that."
