Near start of match, when Kay slid in, in my opinion got the ball, but ref gave free kick, he was last man. So having awarded Leeds a free-kick he should have then sent kay off shouldnt he. I thought he had a very poor game and their second goal was clearly handball.
I thought the same thing. Clearly got the ball, but as soon as the ref called him over i thought he would get a straight red.
i agree mate about kay - it wasn't a foul but after he gave it he should have sent him off. not sure if there goal was handball, would have to have a second look at it.
i sit very near there in the ponty and it was clear, ref should have seen it as he also had a clear view!
The ref was conned into every leeds trick today.. What was more disapointing is that he was only too quick to book our lads, but he cut Leeds alittle more slack.
From where I was I didn't think Kay got the ball, close call for the ref but there were players either side.
Isn't the last man sending off thing only supposed to be if the referee decides that the foul probably denied a clear goalscoring opportunity? So you don't necessarily get sent off as last man if, for example, the player is not running directly towards goal. Not saying he wasn't this time as I haven't seen it but just that I think there's more leeway in the rule.
Their number 4 took 3 or 4 clips at players before the one he booked them for. And the booking for the sliding tackle, can't remember who it was, yes it was a booking but no worse than one they'd donw about 5 mins earlier that he didn't book for.
He was clean through on the edge of the D ie 20 yards out, bang in the centre of goal. If it was a foul it had to be a sending off IMO. However, it was not a foul. The ref was conned by Horsfield catching the ball ready to take a free kick, as if the ref's whistle was a formality. It was (yet another) example of Leeds's gamesmanship.
Kay got the ball.
Later in the half, Kay took one of their attackers out , but the ref gave advantage. Iwas waiting for the ref to book Kay again and then send him off. Also Wright is reckless. After being booked for a shocking challenge, he was flying in with both feet and if he had caught a leeds player he'd have gone off.
Mc Indoe stopped their right back being booked by bouncing up like a spring when he was taken out.
Still .... dirty leeds cynical Barstewards... Dennis obnoxious lovely person Wise.... and Ken fecking captain birdseye... failed businessman ... bailed out by Abramovich Bates, they all deserve each other together with those fans... I think I want the whole lot to go down more than I do Wednesday !!!

RE: How could h have sent him off? he was clean through on goal just outside area, noone else but kay was getting anywhere near him! thats called the last man!
Austin was definitely covering across behind Kay and was sufficiently close to put the doubt in the referees mind.
