Listened to both interviews Player and BBC. Openly admits that his comments have been over the top and the last few weeks had been blinded with trying to get a result anyway they could. Now realises he was wrong and now is the time to go back to the way we were playing, high tempo, non stop running and energy and keeping it on the deck. Worked wonders today, keep it up reds.
Yep, nice to hear some humility and an acceptance that mistakes have been made. Despite the usual rhetoric that he doesn't care what anyone thinks of him, it seemed telling that he related the atmosphere in the ground today to feeling that the fans were behind him, rather than the team necessarily. Said it before - I reckon our Keith feels a need to be loved which he'll never acknowledge, and that includes stuff written on here.
This made me think of Keith Hill tonight.... My Grandad on my Mam's side was quite a face in the London boxing scene post-war. I was reading his obituary this evening from Boxing News in 1993, if I may quote.... ~Harry remained sceptical of any rising star, "....until he's been on the floor, then we'll see what he can do when he gets up." A boxing truism that will always apply.~ He's had a bit of a rough ride has Keith - and the team, it's been a real test of character but they've picked themselves up today by all accounts. Let's see how they do next. Did you like that Keith? Thought you might!
Re: This made me think of Keith Hill tonight.... Very true. We've got some real tough games left between now and end of season, but if we show the character we did today there should be plenty of encouragement for next year
