No joke this time. His disrespect of the fans who ultimately pays his wages is beyond the pale now with his interview ramblings. His team were fooking shlte in the first half. What does the clown want us to do....cheer em off at half time? He goes on about fans moaning..... He is the worst of the lot for moaning. If he does not like BFC why doesn't he stop accepting his wages and just **** off. He is a joke and some of his signings like daggers are fooking rubbish. Hth keefy make his mind up what he wants.
He isn't just referring to the fans in the first half and their reaction to what everybody would agree was an abject performance. He is referring to the general feeling of negativity in Oakwell, the lack of a positive atmosphere, the lack of support generally and IMO he is right. The attendance today was a joke.
"the attendance today was a Joke".. well why was that then ...SWEET JEEZUS is it Rocket Science or what???
Re: "the attendance today was a Joke".. well why was that then ...SWEET JEEZUS It could have been £20 and it would still have been empty. We can't progress without more fans coming back through the turnstiles.
why is the attendence a joke tho??????????????...why are the attendences falling?... 30 quid a ticket for none season ticket holders, keith hill constantly having a swipe at the fans (rightly or wrongly),constantly telling us we are over achieving, while at the same time telling us teams below us deserve to be better off than they are...then theres the negative football, starting out for a draw last week against the poorest side in the division???....the fans arnt exactly being inspired are they?...
If he doesn't start playing a more positive formation, with players in their correct positions and take some PR lessons, I can see us losing another thousand season ticket holders in the summer which will put us in an even worse position.
well firstly.. I apologise if I seemed snappy then matey, but until the team start to perform we are not gonna get better crowds. Allegedly a number of years ago we seemingly totally missed the boat. Apparently We had the chance to sell up Oakwell and move to a site up near Dodworth by J37/M1. Allan Bloore told me this rumour at an away game at Swansea a few years ago,now I am not saying it was gospel or not but a lot on here will quote such a rumour. We coulda had a brand new ground,ok smaller capacity, but perhaps better suited to our fan base. A smaller tighter packed ground would generate better atmosphere. Also the way they build them nowadays it would seem that they implement things into the structure in order to allow the expansion of the grandstands (upwards) for future successes.
We're not playing well at the minute but before Xmas we were playing some fantastic football and still in front of thousands of red seats. Hill is trying to create a winning team but has both hands tied behind his back.
i disagree entirely.. we play attractive football, we are trying play the modern-attractive "tiki-taka" style, we're 15th in the league, and i don't think we play negative tactics, you have to have 5 in midfield in my opinion... Look at Spain 4-2-3-1, Barcelona 4-3-3 etc. I trust Keith Hill entirely, but obviously everybody is entitled to their opinion.
Last week was disappointing but I enjoyed second half today Keith Hills management style not in question for me deserves chance to build a new team. IMO Derby and Bristol City would give Keith their managers job tomorrow.
That's fine, if you have the players at your disposal who can play that. We are not Spain or Barcelona, our players are not good enough to even think about playing these formations, never mind play them
i obviously didnt mean to compare us with the best teams in world football.. look at the North London derby last week... Spurs played with 2 in the center of midfield whilst Arsenal played with 3 and a loan striker. For that reason Arsenal dominated in the midfield. The style of football we play we need to dominate the midfield we cant possibly outplay teams with 4-4-2. Just a personal opinion obviously.
Re: Last week was disappointing but I enjoyed second half today losing the only true creative threat, to the Hammers on deadline day was a much bigger blow to our season than many of our fans realised.
totally aggree,,to play those formations you cant hang about for a second with the ball,,,far too many times our players are getting the ball and from the stands it looks as tho they are at a loss as what to do with it.
Like. I would add it also depends on the opposition. Sometimes 2 upfront may be appropriate. Against Swansea it stopped them from pushing both full backs up and both centre halves splitting when the keeper had the ball. But against most teams 4-5-1 allows us to retain possession better. I think we are really missing Butterfield though to tie it all together
Just what half the fans said at the start of the season and we gave it time and it all started to click and we played great football the first half of the season. Now we've got virtually a new team who are trying to fit together. What doesn't help is people in the crowd having an anuresym whenever someone dares to pass the ball sideways or backwards
I agree entirely. the top teams are who you aspire to. when you play 4-3-3, it doesn't necessarily mean you play with a loan striker. the idea is bringing the full backs forward like Wiseman and McEverley today, spent a lot of the time further forward than Davies.
And the signs were encouraging today Keith Hills philophy is to improve and develop players and combine them into an effective team pattern. He is still fulfilling that brief IMO.
Where did I say that? Davies on his own... Control is crap. Doesn't really work. Gray, too slow. Play them together 2 up front. At least we may look a bit more threatening. One of those 2 on there own invariabley means we end up defending more than attacking. I do not advocate lump it one bit. Unless we are 1 down with 2 or 3 minutes left
