Could he cut the mustard in the Championship?

Keigan

I think so, but if we're after another midfield player, Lee Williamson is the best in League 1.

Rubbish.

I've only ever known Parker play a couple of times in midfield.
He's a striker.
They've been playing him alongside either Morell or Vernon ... not in behind or in midfield.

You know nothing.
Maybe you should get Gord to tell you stuff in future?

Rubbish.

I've actually been at two games this season ... and he's been up front.
Maybe you get a better view on Ceefax?

He played up front against us last season too.

I admit - injuries have forced him onto the wing a few times - but he's a striker.

Striker, striker, striker.

Yes.

But, according to SM, he wears the number 7 shirt - which precludes him from crossing the half way line by law.

Is the board still knackered?
I've kept away - as I thought I might have broken it.

Aye.

Kenny must've played right wing too.
Just like Shevchenko.

FFS sideways with a potted meat roulade.

I think we could get thirty pounds sterling scrap money for this BBS.

I would like to say that I am very impressed with Barnsley's forward thinking

When they gave Paul Hayes a midfielder's number a good year and half before we started playing him regularly in midfield.

He number 5.

Centre half - just like Essien.

RE: He number 5.

I read recently that No 5 is traditionally given by Argentinian sides to the holding midfielder eg Redondo or Gago.

How I was never nominated for "Best football knowledge" is baffling.

Course, Blackpool have a similar size squad to Chelsea

Parker maybe playing up front this season but in the only game I can remember seeing him against us(http://www.soccerbase.com/results3.sd?gameid=468351) he played in midfield, behind mad Tommy. but then again my memory is like your hair. ever decreasing with age. so Im probably wrong.

thats probably wrong. in case you missed it. :D

Interesting.

It seems in recent times the traditional number 4 has been worn by the Argentinian holding midfielder - such a Billy Beckham Booter.

Essien.
That famous Argentinian.

You know more than SM, which doesn't take much doing really.

To be fair.

He was up front in that game too.
Tommy Wrong was flicking them on for him to run on to.
He was generally their furthest player forward.
He was also their biggest threat that day - and he has been every time he's played against us (up front).

I might get virtually everything else wrong - but Parker is a striker.
He'd probably make a very good attacking midfielder, but he's played almost every game of his career as a striker.

Apart from that - he;s a midfielder.

What the hell was danny wilson playing at?

Putting our number 7 up front every week? It's a good job we got lucky and he fired us into the premier league or somebody would have had egg on their face.
