...............Collapsible fences around all the football stands inside 10 years

That is to say fences that collapse inward onto the field and can only be operated by someone on the field side of the fence to allow spectators onto the field in case of emergencies

Should I patten this idea.............. (dunno)

    Sounds Good

With that the fences can go up around the ground with five minutes to go of the last home game of the season to stop people running on the pitch.

dun't bother me as I am at back of stand - those at front have to look through the cage.

RE: Sounds Good...............nope, the fences are there from the start............WHY ???.........

...........because its not going to be long before a player or fan is killed or badly injured on the pitch

Or fans invade the pitch to get into the opposing fans area.........not in the minceing way that West Ham and millwall did it..........I'm talking more like what Newcastle v Forest did some years ago

we all know of fans now that would use knifes if they could get away with it

It only takes one nutter to go one step further and get on the pitch with a knife and the whole football league would come to a grinding halt

Won't happen. Treating fans like animals has been consigned to history and rightly so. Video evidence, intelligence, early morning police raids and banning orders are the current solution. And it will only get easier for the police. Automatic face recognition will be advanced soon, it will be like getting caught by a speed camera. Step out of line at a match (or anywhere really), you will be caught on camera, and the ban will automatically be generated.</p>

I agree it is only a matter of time before a player is attacked. However none of my football mates who I associate with are stupid enough to use a knife if I read you right.

The United match next month could be the time something happens and then the performances on the pitch mean jack cos we get heavily penalised/thrown out of league.

We could build a moat and borrow the water from the ground at S6.

Yer can nearly quarentee some fan/s will be on the pitch against the Blunts........

.............if we score..........or if they score..............someone or a group of TARN fans will be on the pitch

I'll be surprised if this dosen't happen

I dont think it will be their fans because their fans dont give two hoots about us

Its the TARN fans that dont like the Blunts.........not the other way round

The Blunts fans as usual cant see any further than Wendy

Banning orders...............works for a while, but there's always others being recruited...........

.............and readied to step into their shoes...............

In other words.............only physical barriers will work

Presumably then we ALL need to wear bullet proof vests because while you can lock up somebody convicted of gun crime there are always others being recruited and readied. Only physical barriers will stop them.

Should we put physical barriers up to stop people attacking others in clubs? Or physical barriers stopping men and women from mixing on the street in case some lovely person decides to rape a woman?

Of course not because you don't blame everyone because of the actions of a few little pricks
