What a pile of ****! The view I had was awful, I was on row H so shouldn't have been that bad a view but I couldn't see a thing past the half way line. Expected a much better view from a brand new stadium. Also, I thought that it didn't hold the atmosphere in very well. Was nice in the back though, except from the chinese woman that served me didn't know what Fruit Pastilles were and forgot my hot chocolate. What was all that about with all the bleeding sponsorships, number 1, sponsered by ..... They even read the names of the coaching staff.
good idea the sponsorship thing beats just having a 1 inch square in the back of the program for your money
Mine were great. £15, block 32 row P if i remember rightly. Not bad at all. Must admit I thought the sponsorship thing was annoying but like SuperTyke says at least the people who do the sponsoring are getting something for their money.
If you think the Keepmoat was bad, you should have seen their Bellvue ground, about on par with Worsborough Bridge's Park road ground......no sorry, Park road is a better stadium.
I thought it was a decent stadium. A bit characterless like many of the newbuilds but a massive improvement on the last one. Plenty of space and warm in the concourse and helpfull stewards. They seem to have left their edge at the old one though. Gone has their cockiness and in your face football.
yeah your right, a bit characterless like all the lego stadiums these days i think thats where they might have a disadvantage though because maybe it was that cockiness and in your face football that got them to where they are now?? They dont appear to have any of the confidence you associate with the recent donny teams and some of the playes i have previously rated quite highly for donny appeared to be shadows of what i have seen before. think they will do very well to stay up
I think their chairman always aimed at playing at this level. Maybe they got here a bit quicker that he planned for bearing in mind they were non league 6 yrs ago. People really underestimate our own progress in managing to stay in this league even though watching it puts us through the grinder most weeks. lol
Not THAT bad, **** view but at least there was plenty of leg room. I thought in the back was very good - warm with plenty of facilities.
Didn't feel like a local derby. I'd rather have a ground like the Well with a bit of character than another 'out of the box' stadium like that.
Didn't feel like a football ground at all for me. More like a greyhound or athletics track. I was on row C and had a crap view. Didn't know whether the ball was going towards or away from goal at the other end. I could only make out the defending in the first half and our attacking in the second half (Could have gone home at half time, cos never really saw the ball).
out of interest, how does being on the third row at donny compare with being on the third row in the same part of the stadium at any other ground? I can't imagine that the view would be much different would it?
It didn't have an atmosphere in it at all, acoustics were bobbins. Other than that I thought it was ok, just small.
My ST seat is 8th row in East Stand, in between 18yd and half way line. So I guess my I've been spoilt when it comes to reading the depth of play. I'd probably not like it, sat in the first couple of rows in the Ponti.
I was sat in the donny end unfortunatley, although it was enoyable seing the look on all their faces. I thought the lack of atmosphere was down to the fact that rovers fans are god awful. In my opinion, their 'hardcore' fans are roughly 800 or so that turned out year upon year back in the belle vue days. The rest are families with small kids and 15-30 yr olds who until a few years ago were supporting Man u, Liverpool , the dee dars etc. This is why i dont think you get good atmosphere/passion at the Keepquiet Stadium.
I went for the rugby semi earlier in year - thought it was a good ground for rugby but poor for football
