I agree. It would've been interesting if we had been tonked 5-0 as was expected and not the other way around on setdi. I wonder just how many would be so negative of this investment propect then when we'd have been 4th bottom?
Davies, Mellis, Stones, would generate half that sum alone in the transfer market based on current form. And that is being conservative, if you pardon my language. If a financial investor can't see that, then I would be worried about their credibility and motivations.
You may be right but come on now, this is barnsley we are talking about. If its anymore than ten bob and a blackies egg for our players it just wouldn't be accepted by the Don...
I would...and for the good reason that foreign investment in most cases is not good...look at the Glazers, Venkys, Flavio Gillette and Hicks, Briatore...Portsmouths various owners,Carson Yeung,Eggert Magnusson,it's not a great track record If it has to happen, the Qataris could be the best bet,Arabs seem to be driven more by the sporting aspect than purely the money that can be diverted back to service their own financial interests.
the reason bfc will probably amount to nowt....narrow minded fans like the ones on here who don't want change....even if that means being skint/cr.ap forever ffs
For clarity eastfifetyke I would be cautious of investment even if we were bottom of League Two, I want to be able to take my kids kids to Oakwell, I would not give that up for a few years of fun. As long as we do our homework on any investors we should be fine, well as fine as you can be when handing the keys of your beloved club over to a well researched stranger
