Once again a great interview from Keith Hill on Radio Sheffield.Full of common sense, passion, love for our club and positivity for next season. In my opinion of course.
Not listened yet cos I've only just awaken from another BFC induced coma. No doubts he will say the exact opposite next week.
Did he say anything about our transfer policy for next season ?? I think he has been quoted stating he needs 5 championship proven players to compliment the squad. Brian Stock and James Coppinger are 2 names I think we could realistically go for using the probable £1.5 million we get for Butterfield. Hopefully Hill has learnt a lot about this league and the calibre of player required to play in it. If he brings in any more lower league dross he can carry his own coffin out of Oakwell after 8 games because if he does not get proven quality in that team he has now are doomed and him and Flitcroft will be on their bike.
Re: Did he say anything about our transfer policy for next season ?? Might get them two on frees as Saunders has already said that he is £1 million over budget with only 12 players in contract for next season.
Those 2 are quality proven players - even better if Saunders is having a fire sale Still scratching my head as to why Andy Gray is being offered a new deal, but I was told yesterday its on a quarter of what he's earning now. Also was told we are after Clint Hill from QPR
Re: Those 2 are quality proven players - even better if Saunders is having a fire sal That would be a great signing.
Good Afternoon Hemsworth - If Clint Hill is true than that would be a great signing QPR don't look good for staying up plus he wants to be back up north with his family according to the chap who was telling me Saturday - think he is from Merseyside. 34 years old - experienced head been there and done it and most of all ideal captain with some steel. Clint Hill Paul McShane James Coppinger Brain Stock If Hill can get rid of some of our squad, release some wages, plus the £1.5 million or so we get for Butterfield then the above 4 would be possible ian an ideal world. Think I'll write to Mr Hill and do his job for him !!!!
Hi De Hi - Ho Di Ho - I meant him not the lad from Hull ha ha ha ha ha ha ha I thought he was a tough no nonsense defender - just what we've been missing
If we could get Clint Hill then i would like to lee collins in at CB with hill other side. then wiseman at right back. Would like to see maybe Edwards in at CB but he wasnt fit for enough games.
Wiseman !!! Have you been drinking Hemsworth - He is terrible !! Wiseman should never play for us again he is a waste of time and wages. Yes he can sprint but he can't pass, defend or cross a ball. Not too keen on Edwards either. Brian Howard in addition to: Clint Hill Paul McShane James Coppinger Brian Stock Job sorted Mr Hill
Re: Wiseman !!! Have you been drinking Hemsworth - He is terrible !! Brian Stock?? the player made of glass who hasn't really been cutting for that shower of ***** at the other end of the A635? He had a couple of good seasons for them when they got promotion and he attracted a bit of interest. I'd take Coppinger from their squad and thats about it and he's past his best.
Re: Wiseman !!! Have you been drinking Hemsworth - He is terrible !! Why are you putting forward names? We have had 10 months of Keith Hill signing players that NONE of us mentioned before, he's the hardest manager to second guess on recruitment. Id hazard a guess at 3 or 4 Rochdale laikers, a couple of random freebies, and Fernando Llorente
Re: Those 2 are quality proven players - even better if Saunders is having a fire sal He's released according to official site. Clint Hill would be a good signing.
Whitey - hope your'e wrong mate - any more lower league dross and Hill will be sacked after 6 - 8 games. His transfer policy HAS to change if he wants to keep his job, because sadly the team as it is now will see him and his pal flicker lasting 8 games tops before they get the bullett. Hopefully Hill / the board / Disco Don have all learnt their lessons this season not only with their lower league / Rochdale old pals act transfer policy + the terrible marketing and worst of all the Cat A £30 pricing system. The fans have been more than patient this season but I don't think that will last into next. Big job for Hill in the Summer so hopefully the Butterfield funds + new budget and a bit of wheeling and dealing will bring 5 quality players in to strengthen the team.
Re: Whitey - hope your'e wrong mate - any more lower league dross and Hill will be sa Can't see the CAT A £30 changing, especially with the Pigs (blue) and maybe the pigs (red) & Hudders coming up.
Re: Whitey - hope your'e wrong mate - any more lower league dross and Hill will be sa He's said exactly that, he needs seasoned Championship Experience. But whether he can afford it is another thing entirely. Fingers crossed he can.
