Neither would it me. As I said yesterday Bates doesn't like backing the manager with big funds and he likes players sold at a profit. Then there is the fact it would be a cheap deal to bring in a guy on a 12 month rolling contract. Three reasons there why it would be far from a surprise. That's even without adding the ability of our manager to make players better, helping us overachieve etc.
He also makes direct reference to our budget and the thumping we gave them in his reasons for sacking Grayson. He'd probably go too, it would be a great opportunity for him. Gutted if he does like - I am also concerned by his comments about not receiving backing and also being "undermined" in the Vaz Te dealings (not sure if this was by Vaz Te/Agent) or the "board" but it is very worrying that Don said we were "very happy" with the fee and Hill said the complete opposite.
dont be so negative .there is nothing you or i could do. all we can do is hope he doesnt. dont think he will personally . you know that dirty dee daa warnock will get it
Hill always says the complete opposite to Rowing. Not many bookies offering odds on Hill...... http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/leeds-specials/next-permanent-manager
can't see it being flitcroft. bates might like idea of bringing lower leaguers in ang selling em but leeds fans would go mental, they're demonstrating before matches now and it was'nt against manager.
like sumbodys already said might be worth a Fiver on Hill for leeds job, if he teks it ya quids in.. if he dunt then at least we still have him, win win really
I wouldn't read too much into these odds. I put £20 on Tisdale to be our next manager at 20-1, an hour later it went down to 7-1. I'm confident that he won't go to Leeds, not now anyway.
Bates wants Lee Clarke, he's going to get either the dude at MK Dons or Colin, he's not coming for KH.
Leeds fans are too stupid, think they're still a "big club" they would go mental if he appointed Hill. Don't forget Leeds are biggest club in Yorkshire - lets forget the fact that as a one club city they can't get as many fans in Championship as both Sheffield clubs combined can get in League 1 to attend.
I think, or hope at least, that you're right. Something tells me he won't quit after half a season unless it's an offer he can't refuse and I dont, with due respect, think Weeds are that kind of offer. I think he'll be here next season.
It would surprise me enourmously Just can't see Ken Bates going for a relatively unknown manager who only has experience with Rochdale and Barnsley. And as much as we can see that Keith's doing a good job with us, to the outsider he's hardly setting the world on fire. I'd be surprised if he's on the radar at all. Feel free to bring this back to the top when he's installed as manager next week.
Re: It would surprise me enourmously I reckon it's Warnock. He'd already been linked with the job, and the way in which Grayson went when Warnock is available leads me to believe it'll be him.
