Seems to think people might be looking at him.

Seems to be warning the board, by saying if they keep selling assets on a regular basis then they will be changing managers on a regular basis.

for me as of 19th of August hes the number one right back at the club followed by Wiseman.

Has he been asked about Stones in an interview then mate? I only heard a bit of the Radio Sheffield interview after the game before we lost the signal going South.

I agree about him being the number one right back too

He brought it up about Stones.
Said he might be tired and he might have to rest him but hes got to cover him self. Says johns magnificent. Then started going on about not selling your assets and boards got to back him.

If hes worried about John Stones, get Star management up to the club with him and say we want to offer you the longest contract possible (even if thats got to be 4/5 years) and then tell Star management that the club don't want to hear from another club unless they bid x amount which could be 3/4/5 million.

Give over, wiseman wouldn't make my top 3 in BFC right backs.

    Hassell
    Stones
    Foster
    O'Brien
    Toby Tyke
    Wiseman

    In that order

Personally I think we should stick to playing stones in the home games, where he should feel under less pressure with the crowd behind him and help prevent him getting warn out

One game and he's worth 3-5 million? 4-5 year contract? Are you sure that's enough Hemsio?

Sorry Hemsie, I meant he's worth 10 million, but we should ask 15 and maybe settle at 12. That would buy a hundred new scoreboards!

Seems a bit of knocking HT for the sake of it. If BFC get stones on a longer contract and he continues to play like he did yesterday he will go for 3 million ++ I'm sure of it

Thats comment seems a little unfair..

The club did not protect Butterfield's value with a longer contract when they had the chance to do so. He's now on big money in the premier league.

We must learn from that mistake, because it was an expensive one IMHO.

Stones is a class act, but lets not heap pressure on the club or the player.

I'm not one for hyperbole or getting carried away with youngsters at the club (Jarman, Adam, Atkinson et al), neither am I a coach or an expert on players, but I honestly believe John Stones could be the best player to come out of the academy in recent memory. Remember his age, the likes of Butterfield didn't make any where near this impact at that age, it took him a good two seasons to look comfortable. If Stones develops further, with his physique, pace and ability, we could have a diamond. If Lowton is worth £3m on the back of playing well in Sheff Utd's relegation season and then League One, Stones could well surpass that. The club has to be very clever and careful with him and Digby, Rose and Clark re contracts.
