As we approach the derby match with SWFC next weekend, there is little doubt that there will be a vast amount of media interest. Please, can someone persuade Keith Hill to have a shave, clean himself up, and portray the club in a positive light, and not in the scruffy, downbeat way, that recent television interviews have seemed. Could it be that Keith Hills lack of personal pride has spilled over to the players, and this in turn is a factor in the players lack of confidence. Come on, lets smarten ourselves up, and take that badly needed 3 points next saturday.
this is the first time hill has experienced a tykes/dee dar derby wonder what he'll make of it. he can't pass this off as just another game or even compare to a pikey/leeds type game its totally different,
What we need is a rallying call from the manager and the players telling the fans to get down to Oakwell and be the 12th man. When was the last time that happened? Particularly from any players?
the fight and desire was there to see @ Leicester - if we show the same on Satdy - we'll beat the Deedars
Mmm. Would have liked to have seen that personified in a player flinging himself at the ball to stop their equaliser...
People would have come down to Oakwell but the club agreed to have the game televised so that buggered that idea up.
Me too. I wouldn't blame anyone particularly for their equaliser, but I would have liked to see a couple of those defender who were stood watching doing anything they cloud to get something in front of that shot. People were blaming Wiseman for the first and fair enough he made a mistake, but players make mistakes all the time, he didn't mean to do it. It was the second goal that disappointed me more because we don't seem to have players who will put their neck on the line to stop a goal.
Replace training sessions with makeovers and get that Rylon sort in to do the team talk... "Come on boyyyzz!! Red's good, now let's get out there and look faaaaaaabulous!!!" Please tell me you are not a bloke.
It doesn't matter who tells the fans to 'get down to Oakwell', £28 when it's on the TV means that hardly any will turn up who aren't season ticket holders
Maybe Keith could give advice to our overweight fans, and those fans with a less than sartorial dress sense.
I disagree. I think too much is made of local derbies and it puts even more pressure on the players to perform. At the end of the day it's still three points for a win and there are another 44 games we don't play them in. Saturday doesn't matter as much as us finishing above them outside the relegation zone come May.
well i must disagree with you there i mean who makes too much of local derbies, the fans of course. as for pressure on players wtf of course there should be pressure on the players otherwise why bother, its how they interpret those pressures on the pitch that counts. we want to win this game and every game we play them surely and finish above them.theres local pride also to consider you tell those mufc fans on sunday its only three points'
I reckon Hill has made his name as a scruffy northerner who is good for a soundbite, so he isn't going to change!
