The thing i take away from that more than owt is out of the players that have been signed probably only Collins is fully match fit. Everyone else is either injured or coming back from weeks or months off. Mido - 2-3 moths away Silva - ?? Knee injury? Cwyka (spellin) - hardly played Sonko - on trial and not played for months Mellis - not match fit Collins - fir but not match sharp Have i missed anyone? Did Hogan sign? We also now have doubts over Goldborne and Dawson and perkins and hasel behind the rest of the squad. Dont wanna be downbeat but its been a poor summer to be fair. Ok 2 of those picked up injuries since but Mido was months off anyway. By the time we get everyone fit we might rock bottom and adrift already. Bloody hope not but its a real threat. I think we urgently need some decent loan signings to start the season and brdge the gap to getting all these players back. If we get beat saturday old Keith is gonna be under the cosh from day 1. Fingers crossed hey.
Hemsy does well to string a frickin sentence together. I half didn't want to make that last post because I want to feel excited about the new season but its all gone very flat with the bad luck and knock backs we've had. Oh well im sure with a couple of wins under our belts we'l all be putting King Keith up on a pedestal again pretty soon!
I reckon Hill must have smashed a mirror or something; it would explain the luck we've had with injuries over the last year.
Do you really think we had more injuries than other teams? or did it seem that way because we had a smaller squad than other teams, so we felt it more?
It dunt take a rocket scientist to understand whats happening with all these injuries to new signings But lets spell it out anyway..............Keeeflicker see a player with a bit of talent......but for the player to fit into the team they have to be a team player............. that means they have to attack as a team and defend as a team.........which obviously means that a players misconception that they can stand about doing nothing during a match is suddenly brought to a sudden end when they join Barnsley. Then theres another development that has occured since the rising of the phoenix; otherwise known as Vaz Te..........a player that nobody in their right mind would want.......but Keeeflicker saw summert and set about putting that player back on track no matter what.........other players have seen what the Keeeflicker have done with Vaz Te and thought 'I'll have a bit of that'................a fitness program that can bring that player up to speed....... BUT it can also break them (see Mido)
Mido was injured in the warm up - not during training, however, maybe too hard too fast? Perhaps shouldn't have even been playing with the 1st team until he was down to a more suitable weight. Its so much easier to pick up an injury when unfit and overweight - especially with the demands of a pro footballer.
Keith's always going to be under the cosh regardless. If we were to sign the likes of Sonko, Mellis, Mido when they were match fit and playing well would cost millions. That's why we sign 'em when they're unfit, not had a club for a while and work with 'em. Needs patience up until the end of August/September.
He's had quite a bit of patience since January tbf, I'm really dreading the start of this season, I hope to god I'm wrong but I can't see anything but a real struggle this term. Fingers crossed that I'm wrong and look like a numpty come the start of he season.
Oh I've no doubt in my head we'll probably be relegated but when I say patience I mean until the new players come up to speed - we'll be signing some by the end of the month too so has to be remembered.
True, true, will try my best not to jump off the deep end if we start badly, but can't promise it, just take owt I say with a pinch of salt!
