every interview i hear he makes me cringe. Whilst hes doing a great job with no resources every interview is virtually the same. He repeats himself, loves the sound of his own voice and yet again makes sly digs at the fans. Yesterday he says there was no atmosphere and then talks about booing of players. Yes i dont agree with booing but why say theres no atmosphere. Other interviews he makes comments about fans need to show more patient or WE ARE WORK IN PROGRESS. God he bores me at times. Dont get me wrong hes doing a good job but when is he going to 100% embrace the fans..............

You seem to have a problem with people having a differing opinion from you, yet you constantly tell us yours!!
    Strange!
In my opinion of course. But hey ho dont let anyone else dare to have an original thought, got to tow the line!

I sympathise with the man, he says the same stuff because folk are too dim to get the message, ie booing their own teams players, hardly a show of patience.

Was there booing yesterday? Only booing i heard was at half time and it was aimed at the lino and ref. Can't remember any more, but then again by the time the final whistle came I was half way down pontefract road along with 3/4's crowd.

He was booed softly by about one man and his dog whenever he touched the ball after his mistake for the third. Nice of the manager to pick up on a tiny minority of boos to draw attention away from our usual second half of the season poor form.

His interviews are no different from Ritchie, Davy, and Robbins. If you get the same **** from the team every other week you are going to get the same answers.

It might not have been loads and loads of people but it was enough for Jay McEveley to hear, and I heard it clearly more than once from the Ponty End, and felt rather embarrassed to be honest. He made an honest mistake, no way should fans be booing their own players for that. If it'd been Sir Bobby, I'd be willing to bet nobody would've booed.

I was actually glad Keith Hill made a point of mentioning it. I'm just glad Jay stood up to it, and continued looking for the ball and making himself available, despite having a pretty torrid afternoon and getting stick from the patient, understanding supporters we have at Oakwell.

I have no problem with folk giving their opinion. Where in my reply to the newbie, did I say I had a problem with him offering his opinion?
I disagreed with his opinion. Keith spoke honestly yesterday. Yes, at times he talks in riddles, but he is merely human. As we all are, despite the dubious nature of the idiots who jeer and lambast our players during a game. By all means grief em on ere, as I myself do, but at the game?!
And what is this mythical line you speak of?
You judge a man by accent, I judge a man by ACTIONS
    and goodnight :D

My thoughts are , Hill is doing Ok, no more , no less. He is not the best manager we have had, he is not the worst either. He is OK.

You and others seem to believe that because he is the manager you are not allowed to just say he is doing a good job, we have to say he is brilliant and the best thing since sliced bread, we have to want to have his babies as it is not enough to just think he is doing a decent job. You come on after every win and tell us how great he is , then when we lose it is not his fault, it was just a bad day, well that must mean it is not up to him when we win, its just a good day .
I get pissed off with being told how we should all think he is fantastic.
That OK for you, as I say its just MY thoughts. No better than anyone elses and no more valued than any other, but no worse either!!

Just to add I was not saying it about my posts , but of the oringinal poster and the reply he got.

    Mark,
Keith Hill is super-awesome! I want his children! We only win because of him! He is the best manager in the history of football. Better than Shankly, Fergie and Spackman even.
    ;)

Funny that, I heard that one man and his dog that must've been sat in the East Corner of the Ponty from the back of the West Stand.

    F.cking loud dog that.

I only just picked up on that.
    'Booed softly'
    How does that work like?
    1 man and his dog?
"come by Shep, come by, booo (softly)"

Jay Mac was booed by the group who sit quite near the front at the side of the Ponty nearest the disabled stand every time he touched the ball for about 10 minutes after his howler.
