And it's showing. I'm half-way through his pre-match interview but it's very obvious that he's never had to deal with expectation. At Rochdale, there was no expectation. He was a legend, Rochdale hadn't been promoted in god-knows how long, so he could do no wrong. The difference at Championship level is that everyone thinks they can do something in this league. And the thing that Hill doesn't seem to understand is that it's true. Look at the results every weekend. Look at Burnley, Swansea and Norwich in recent seasons. Managers have to deal with expectation at all levels. It's part and parcel of the game and the sooner he thinks about the way he comes across in interviews the better. At the moment, because of the belligerent way he conducts himself, he's looking out of his depth. Come on Keith, I thought you were smarter than that?
Rochdale first full season - gets to play offs, Second season - play off finals, Third season automatic promotion. You seriously telling me after the first season there was no expectation for him to maintain the level of performance & get to the play offs again? I know they're a different breed over there but they aint that different.
Keith Hill is waffling and contradicting himself at the moment........... He has said that he is a good manager that can manage in the Championship and the players he has brought in are good enough to play in the Championship. Then, in the Chronicle this week he is saying that he and players are going through a sharp learning curve Well tha can have one or the other Keith but tha can't have both He has also said after the Southampton match that he isn't bothered about other results in the league............then the week after he starts talking about how well Southampton have done at Ipswich and other results in the league Well tha can have one or the other Keith but tha can't have both But but but.................I still think that the TARN will do well this season and Hillflicker will come good
