From the mouth of old keith:

It’s been very testing - testing for everybody - when you consider the sequence of results we’ve gone through.

The supporters want to be proud of their local team. They want to be able to go home with a warm feeling and we haven’t given them enough of that. I’m disappointed we’ve not been able to give them enough of a cheer. They were magnificent on Wednesday in their support of the players. I think they realised the performances have been acceptable but I’ll agree with the supporters when they are getting angry with respect to results, and I do too. Because we deserve a little bit more than what we’re getting with respect to rewards.

We want to reward the supporters.

It’s been difficult for our supporters. In times of adversity you’re looking for strength and the supporters can give strength to the players.

I seek a lot of encouragement with respect to the performance. The players haven’t given up and it’s obvious the supporters haven’t given up. I would hope the supporters will continue to support the team in the way that they have.

We’ve got to make sure we manage the hard times together, that’s where true fans will be given the opportunity to gloat in the future.

We’ve got to be collectively strong and support through times of difficulty, that’s where we can be a family with the Barnsley supporters and players integrated together.

When you’re angry or disappointed, you’re looking for somebody to blame and rightly so you can blame me because I’m fully responsible for team selection, organisation and the substitutes.

There’s a lot for me as a Manager to be encouraged by but that encouragement has got to turn into results. I’m encouraged by a lot of what’s going on on that football pitch – a lot – and I can’t refuse to look at that but the bottom line is we may be getting beaten by one-goal margins.

Honest from Keith, but I can't help but feel the support for him is wafer thin right now. I'm going to be there tomorrow to cheer on the boys COME ON!!

Very honest. Who else are we going to blame for being 2nd bottom and havimg won 1 in 13? I know its not my fault. Its not my mrs' fault either. Its not the fault of anyone other than the management of the club, from the directors down to keith and the players.

You were not worst by far mate, Keith Hills Jacket has not even been back on since !! A couple more were equally obnoxious too, but I can understand their feelings, it is not often they get to gloat about a win , this season or even the whole year has seen very few evenings for them to gloat !

It did feel like winning ruffled a few feathers on here. What bizarre logic is that? I just want everyone to get behind the lads and be the 12th man and DO something about the situation. I'm glad there were rows in the dressing room afterwards, a bit of passion - that was a lively match and they were fired up. We beat them fair and square, which means we can beat a lot of other teams put in front of us and we HAVE to!! Saying this is the worst BFC side ever, then hiding behind a wall - will do nothing to change the situation. If anything it will make it worse - I wouldn't want to get out of bed if I read that about myself. If Keith gets sacked he gets sacked, it happens and if that's for the best fair enough. But to throw the towel in at Xmas is cowardly and an affront to this town's history. I haven't given up, Keith Hill hasn't and thankfully, neither have the majority supporters.

the rows were after Brum game mate, not Millwall.
I will never give up, i will always believe we will stay up, even if we are 3 rd bottom with 1 match to go and 4 points adrift! there is always the chance of a Pompey !!

Just cant see us getting enough points off our own bat, with the same stupid keep the ball in the middle of the pitch at all costs tactics. W

    We will win tomorrow though.

Lot of sense there. Good post.

Personally I can't understand how any supporter can say with any degree of certainty that "X" is the problem, be it the manager or the board or whatever, when they're not privy to anything that goes on at the club other than 90 minutes of football a week. It smacks of double standards when people will turn up and cheer the team on but come on here or wherever and slag off the manager if we lose. Surely, if you're going to back them, back the lot of 'em, management included. You don't know who's fault it was that we lost the game so how can you say with such conviction that the manager has to go? Maybe it's the players fault that we lose a particular game, but then maybe they're the best players available to the club due to injury, suspension, wage demands or whatever. Until such time when supporters are well versed in the day to day running of a football club, I think supporters should stick to being supporters. Turn up and support the entire club from top to bottom, or don't bother.

Supporters should accept decisions made by the club's management because they're decisions being made by professionals. Not keyboard warriors. Professionals who have studied the game and earned qualifications sufficient to be put in charge of such affairs. Supporters can gripe about results not going their way sure, but this whole culture of pointing the finger every week is just killing the passion that makes watching our club great. I'm starting to get as weary with it all as Keith Hill. Give him a break and get behind him, Flicker and the lads!

I think we will win before every match mate, go back and check the prediction threads!
It`s after I feel fecked off.
Maybe there was a argument at Millwall too then, I know for a fact that Hill and 2 players had a slanging match after wednesday. One seems to have told him his dead ball tactics are **** !!

Totally disagree, would you have gone around the pubs and clubs in years gone by and said that to those sitting in the taproom moaning about BFC?
Attitudes such as shut or dont bother coming are costing the club 100`s of fans every week. They are not coming to Oakwell and they are getting slagged off for doing as you say they should!

And whoever that was does have a point!
Definitely one reported at Millwall, but not specific about which players or details. It is the Barnsley Chromical remember, so may not be 100% accurate! :)

I was umming n arrring about tomorrow, but have been watching Olympic highlights dvd and have got geeed up to the point of giddyness. In fact, I think I'll get there early and see if I can get a game.

What qualifications has don rowing got? BTEC diploma in clerical studies?
Barry Taylor, doctorate in *** packet planning?

I despair at how unquestioning some people are.
