    Scarborough end Kell spell early

    Midfielder leaves early

Scarborough have curtailed the loan spell of Barnsley midfielder Richard Kell after just two Conference appearances for the Seasiders.

The 26-year-old is looking to regain full match fitness following a lengthy spell out with a broken leg.

Seasiders boss Neil Redfearn says his side faces "12 cup finals" as they look to secure their Conference status.

They are one point above the relegation zone, but all three teams below them have several games in hand over Boro.

It looks like Ritchie sent him out on loan to get his match fitness up. But Scarborough are in a relegation fight and they need all their players to be fully fit and so they can't give him the games he needs.
