Great news on Etuhu, and on Watkins.

Looking forward to Chairman Mau putting together a great team off the field, and Flicker securing the services of the players he wants.

Good news all round. "Barnsley means business", sounds good to me.

I hope the appointment of Watkins persuades a few of the other players to sign.

Excellent news, there really is a feeling of positivity and momentum around Oakwell these days and long may it continue.

Excellent, players with his ability cost a fortune these days and he would certainly be one of the harder ones to replace.

Signing of the summer. Just need COGba and Cranie now and we'll be fine.

I have to admit, in his first few games I was less than convinced

but prior to his injury, in central midfield, he looked real quality. Has the all attributes to make a strong, powerful, box to box midfield player, and in a midfield three alongside Perkins and Mellis, I can see him doing some damage next season.

formidable looking midfield, all fully fit. with goldie back and another new wing back. wow, what a 5 that will be!

I think he needs to add some height to the squad

Kennedy, Goldbourne, Perkins, Dawson, Mellis, none are particularly tall & last season at set pieces we were vulnerable. A giant keeper and a beast of a centre half would be on my shopping list.

He was fantastic in center midfield last season and im sure his injury was reason it went down to the wire for us.

Just need to give him some shooting practice over the summer. If he adds goals to his game he will be worth a fortune. Got in some great shooting positions on edge of box but needs practice :)

Kelvin really does remind me of Toure Yaya haha according to the chron though it says they're waiting til he gets back from his holiday then they can activate the 'option to extend' clause.

And I agree it'll be a quality midfield. O'Brien/Wiseman and Goldy on the wings and Dawson, Perkins and Kelvin in the middle. When they're all together on form it's a joy to watch

Can he pull some strings and bring in some rugby league players? They're always changing codes!

Got to have Mellis in there somewhere for me. I like all of those players but I think that we would really lack creativity with Dawson, Perkins and Kelvin together.

Agreed. Hopefully when we've retained/lost/signed players we will get around to sorting out those with a year left like Barnsley's Ashley Cole, JOB and the two you mentioned.
