Looks like he played well tonight. Not sure if he played wing back or in the middle but if he's back on it like last season then it's like having a new player. Not been right this season.
Singled out for praise by DW tonight. The Radio Sheff Commentator said the penalty he conceded though was a poor challenge an unnecessery. Seems just a blot on a good performance tonight by him.
Don't know what happened to Etuhu. He played a massive part in the great escape last season, I'm certain we wouldn't have done it without him. He was like a different player this season, for both Flitcroft and Wilson, a pale shadow of his former self. Hopefully he's now back on it.
Echo. Echo Gave him special praise. Asked Tutu before the game if he fancied playing at full back and he said "I'll play anywhere ".
It was never a pen in the first place right in front of me and he barely touched the reading player who flung himself to the ground as if shot. I wouldn't count that against him rather blame the ref who was very poor
Agree, definitely not a pen - he did shoulder charge him but it was a bump rather than barge. As soon as the cheating Russian felt any touch, his legs gave way and he was down. Etuhu was fantastic last night - he was fast and able to deal with their pacey wingers. He won lots of challenges and played the ball simple. Makes you wonder where he's been all season. Like having a new player (again).
