ffs people have a word with yourselves. Regardless of your hatred towards Leeds, you have to be ******* stupid to think what Ken Bates has done is good for football. I love the fact that people can ignore justice above petty personal vendattas. This could have happened to BFC. Cnuts like Ken Bates should not be above the law. It's interesting that the only people that will actually suffer are people like you and me that love our club. While Ken Bates can laugh all the way to the bank leaving another club close to bankcruptcy, stripped off all its assets, and deeply in the **** just like he did at Chelsea. Don't forget what football is supposed to be about. That said, have they got anyone worth signing?
schadenfreude is an ugly thing. all a bit sad really. one of my best mates is a Leeds fan and is gutted, havin remembered what it was like to have someone the fans didnt want in charge and almost see the club go to the wall I can empathise with them. shame some folk on here cant see past the end of their noses.
i love footballand therivalry of it, but the tribal petty nature of some Barnsley fans make them no better than some well...some Leeds fans.

Get bent Its those fans, the so called "you and me" that make so many hate Leeds United.
I really can't be arsed to give it chapter and verse, but when you've been born and brought up in Wakefield, like me and Loko have, you can only hate them and hope they keep dropping.
When we were struggling and they were winning the old first division and getting into the Champions League, their "fans" were the worst of the worst- made our lives a misery, especially West Yorks based Reds fans. At the same time, the ******* Barstewards also chose Wakefield as their battle ground for settling (well, actually starting) disputes with innocent fans returning from either bellend road or indeed other local matches completely unrelated to Leeds United. Because they are scum.
There will be Leeds Utd fans who just love their football club of course, all clubs have plenty of those. But there is a significant and persistant percentage of their fans for whom I have zero sympathy for. Ken Bates has done more than I ever could to shut them up, and long may it continue.

And did you suffer the same experience but haven't let it affect you?
I'd be interested to know. I know that most Barnsley fans hate the Sheffield clubs more than Leeds, so I can understand why they can't understand the vitriol.
For me its entirely personal, and I accept that others will not have had the same experience with leeds fans, even if they came from Wakefield etc,

In an ideal world what would you like to happen to leeds? I hate wednesday as much as the next guy but I wouldn't like to see them go out of business, just league 2 or the conference will do me nicely
I left when I was 12, so I've spent 24 years being 'little 'ol Barnsley' and patronised by practically every type of fan you can imagine. I've been set upon by a Portsmouth fan and all his mates, 2 hours after some friendly banter which seemed quite light hearted at the time. However, I've got freinds who support Portsmouth and while there is the '657' or whatever they claim to be around acting like ******* and giving their club a bad name. I'm well aware that there are more decent honest fans around who are in the silent majority. We've got our own element of fans, who will belittle smaller clubs and take the piss out of perceived under achievement, those who think we're bigger then we actually are. Those who'll kick off at the drop of a hat. We've had a massive fall after a limited successful period and it's been depressing for all. Leeds are having an even greater fall, which has absolutely nothing to do with fans or football and more to do with some slimey **** trying to bleed a club dry. We can count ourselves very lucky that we didn't attract that kind of investment. It doesn't really matter if you hate Leeds fans or not, we all harbour some kind of hatred or ill feeling towards other clubs and their fans for various reasons. I just don't think we should be celebrating this kind of 'justice', because I can't look past the fact that it all looks too suspicious and is damaging to the reputation of the game we all love. I want real justice and if that means some short term glory for Leeds fans then so be it.
Its all about personal experiences I can honestly say never in my life have I held a conversation with a Leeds fan without them coming over as some high and mighty better than everybody else type of mongrel! No matter where I worked or lived before moving South there would always be some Leeds United idiot giving it large, mocking all us smaller Yorkshire clubs, not caring about what happens to any of us on or off the pitch. Now I'm sure there are decent Leeds fans somewhere who follow them up and down the country chatting to supporters of different clubs amicably, just like I do with Barnsley, but I've not met them yet so have no sympathy what so ever with there plight, long may it continue in my eyes. Its leaving a bad taste in there mouths now they realise a high percentage of the footballing public are celebrating yesterdays news. I understand the comments about "it nearly happened to us", "show some remorse for the Leeds fans", but not one ever showed remorse for me ever, so no way am I returning the favour. Whats happening to them now is evening the score of the last 15 years. Might even get the champers in tonight and proper celebrate.
It is not Leeds I am not bothered about them but Bates almost put chelsea out of exitence and walked away with about 80,000,000 quid deep down he is not bothered about Leeds, he is from down south for christ,s sake ,what ever happens to Leeds he will make money out of it. Administrors need looking at look what we went thro when they let Doyle take control of us when Cryne [ Bless him ] had an offer in.
thought Bates was a northerner agree he is an absolute ****** re what he has done to football, bit like PR, these guys get away with it time after time, the thing with Bates is that he has had 2 high profile cases, there are plenty of examples in the lower leagues also
