actually.......Gretna are Scottish FIRST division and WILL be premier next season...Deuchar OK

he is a great and proven scorer.... I lived in Scotland for over 12 years while a serviceman and was able to get a reasonable insight to Scottish Football...and despite what you may think , its pretty decent. Gretna are gonna go well in The SPL next season....I was stationed near Inverness and saw a good few of Inverness CT in my time .... and a good amount of the Highland league...and even that was not bad.

all im saying is mate do you think that scotts div 1 is anywhere near championship standard? look at leon knight scores bag fulls in league 1 which is still a miles better standard than scotts div 1 , and he cant cut mustard.

    I've seen him for Gretna

Knows where the goal is, technically good player. Would be interesting to see how he'd adapt to a higher quality league like The Championship.

AND there are a good few Scots div 1 AND 2 teams who would thrash us no sweat. nt

No, the fact he's not playing is because he's unhappy there and wants to move to a bigger club, one higher up the football ladder.

He's fallen out with the owner.

RE: I would say scots 1st division is probably similar to lg1 in quality

I dont think its fair to judge Leon Knight on his few games with us, he was unfit and completely unsuited to the style of football we played. A fit Knight would have scored a few under the style Rithcie played.

Well even if thats true he still doesn't look like he's adapted to playing at a higher level. Scored plenty of goals last season but it looks like they've dried up now
