It's not a requirement, but if he doesn't we pay increasing levels of his wages. As they are willing to loan him out for free provided he gets game time. Can't imagine it will cost us much if for example he only plays 50% of games.
I prefer a play well and get picked on merit kind of deal. Be silly if he doesn't play well but we still feel like we've no choice but to play him.
I agree - I am not keen on a loan deal that allows a parent club to stipulate that we have to play him, even if he is bang out of form, otherwise it will cost us a lot of money.
Pretty much all loans have some sort of clause about appearances. It's just that normally they are a little less public.
