Disclaimer: I haven't seen this posted before but apologies if it has.

Kes Reimagined is a dance version of Kestrel for a Knave and a film of the performance is being streamed tonight on youtube at 19:00. It looks pretty spectacular from the trailer.

    blurb
From 19th May, Kes Reimagined is available for the first time as an international digital release: https://youtu.be/2RLmaSOQET8 The story of boy and bird - as originally told by Barry Hines, then Ken Loach - is retold in Jonathan Watkins' work through dance, music and puppetry, to create ‘a family-friendly Kes to rival War Horse’. Presented by The Space and streaming for a limited time only. Barnsley born choreographer, Jonathan Watkins (Winner ‘Best Classical Choreography’ at The National Dance Awards Critic Circle) reimagines the original novel weaving dance, projections, puppetry and music through the performance to create ‘a family-friendly Kes to rival War Horse’.

Couldn’t get on with it myself , the genre isn’t one I’m fond of but recognise they are all talented people

It was shown on the anniversary night. I lasted about 15 minutes into it but I'm sure many will appreciate it more than I did.

Brilliantly done imo. Loved the wmc scene and thought Judd was portrayed really well. Only bit I wasn't fussed on was the kestrel scenes. Choreographer has got a lot of credits to his name, will look out for more of his work.
