Having a good chance of playing most matches should be an incentive for some strikers to come to us, surely?
Well tou would think so. I don't know how many players we have been after this season, Davey has mentioned we have lost out on 2, so from that it may be ok to deduce that there have been more. I wouldn't know though. The fact that nothing yet has materialised apart from the 4 we have and only 1 is a striker makes you think that perhaps we are too unfashionable. I don't even think its the money either, just our unfashionable image which the media continue to perpetuate at every opportunity.
Best thing we can do about that is to get large crowds down at 'Well, making some positive noise on matchdays. Moaning on this forum is fair enough, it's an outlet for discussion after all. But shouting abuse at our players during matches is not going to help performances or get BFC a reputation as a good club to play at.
I never shout abuse at the players. I hate it when others do. It's counter-productive. Like you say, last season, for long spells, there wasn't much atmosphere at times and it can be the 12th man.
A gret big Centre Forward who knows how to put himself about and who causes all kinds of problems for defenders. Very physical, pushes, not adverse to using the owd elbow etc etc
If we are after a big target-man, I am convinced that we can do better than Kyle. He doesn't strike me as any improvement on Odejayi - in fact very similar, but a lot slower. If we need a target man to compete with Odejayi and to replace Ferenczi, I would rather have one who might just score double figures in the season, which I don't think Kyle would. Stead would be a better bet. I do wonder if Friday's missed deal was Nugent on loan. Could it still be?
Never heard of him personally lol. Think we should be targeting someone from the premiership who's 4th or 5th choice at one of the top 10 clubs, or a young lad who needs match practice, thats worked for us before, eg Chopra and most of the time Nardiello.
